  17. thanks lads, will be intestingto see the outcome of the their hedge cutting skills, got to be spot on with yew,no margin for error eh.
  18. last year i got a new hedge to cut,got the job for £520. 1.8 m high x 200m x 2 sides, hedge width 1.2m, so 600m of cutting all arisings left on bonfire heap for gardner to burn. me and my mate did the job in about a day and a half, all raked up,nice tidy job. customer over the moon, this year he told me he has accepted a quote for £300,surely they must be working for nothing! this is in no way a sour grapes comment,i think my pricing was spot on,any thoughts lads and lasses
  19. 2101xp mate, they have a manual oiler over-ride to get extra oil to the bar, perfect for milling, might be looking to sell mine !!
  20. yep all the above, the yanks seem to favour skip chains, they run big bars on say a 372xp,less stress so less hp needed, 880,s and 3120,s are never going to be fast anyway, just keep chain in tip top condition spec on big bars and keep the cutters even, grandma and egg sucking etc, good luck with your big saw
  21. dolmar 166, but getting rare now
  22. husky 2101 xp, might need skip chain for 48" tho
