  7. i would love to add one of those to my tool kit
  8. dont forget your string line, spirit level,chain/hand saw etc, and make yourself a plywood compartment box with carry handle for all your nails, staples etc, as time goes on you will end up with loads of useful bits and pieces cluttering up your toolbox lol
  9. havent tried the blades out yet, still waiting for my bill, but was 709.00 before my dealer discount
  10. Hope this allowed, thought i do a little review on my latest purchase. As title Good points Good balance and weight good power 45cc,quick acceleration Decomp button, primer and chunky choke switch Auto return stop switch Bad bits Harness takes a lot of fiddling to get it comfortable and in right working position Tap and go head is pants, needs the S 11 head for serious work. Grass guard is a bit cumbersome. I have put about 12 hours on this brushcutter and find it a very capable machine, and once you have set the harness up properly , it is very comfortable to use and have good control over the machine. Blasts through the tough stuff with no problems but tap head tends to snag the ground if you try to get a neat finish on lower grass, the guard does its job well but i find it a bit to big, just my opinion. Nice quiet machine with plenty of power. Hope this helps if anybody is thinking about buying one Cheers Mike
  11. everybody gets the pee taken when they are starting out, the golden rivet was my first pee take when i was 16, then used it on younger lads when i was older, along with the long weight (wait) by the workshop, and sparks for the grinder etc, just a laugh, nothing more
  12. That may need steel rods tho,i always do mine 45 cm centres to a depth twice the depth of material,no slippage of material this way
  13. i always face mine north, something to do with climate change,at least thats what someone told me

  20. starts fine on choke and runs fine, but will occasionally stall and then will only start if choked again, same if you turn the saw off and try to restart, very limited carb adjustment on this bad boy,3/4 turn on hi/lo screws, but dosent appear to have those limiter thingios, any advice please

    transit mpg

thinking of going back to transit for work vehicle, ranger only giving 28mpg tops, had a tranny van 100/280 giving 38 mpg before but was wondering about 330/135 mpg, i prefer rear wheel drive with the 2.4 motor, does medium roof/higher hp van affect mpg much, anybody drive one etc, mpg specs welcome, cheers
