  1. starts fine on choke and runs fine,but will occasionally stall and then will only start if choked again,same if you turn the saw off and try to restart,very limited carb adjustment on this bad boy,3/4 turn on hi/lo screws,but dosent appear to have those limiter thingios, any advice please

    thinking of going back to transit for work vehicle, ranger only giving 28mpg tops,had a tranny van 100/280 giving 38 mpg before but was wondering about 330/135 mpg, i prefer rear wheel drive with the 2.4 motor,does medium roof/higher hp van affect mpg much,anybody drive one etc, mpg specs welcome, cheers

  5. saw some watchdog type programme a while back,it had these fakes on there,pieces of junk and dangerous,issues with chain brake etc
  6. put a new ring in one of my 2077,s, did a few cuts but seems very hot?? fired it up with aspen,could this cause it to run hot?
  7. these are great mate, dosent matter that you got the idea from somewhere else,its your skill involved in cutting them out ,and fair play for doing your bit for the kids too
  8. im making some giant toadstools for a client, nothing fancy , just going to cut slices off some scotts pine and taper top edge with a chainsaw,maybe do some gills underneath, they need to look like fairytail fly agaric,whats the best way to seal the wood before painting bright red, going to drive some 4" round posts into the ground for stems, ideas please

  12. the noise is just one crack,not a continual seires of cracks if that makes sense, if cv was gone surely it would make more than one crack, i could be talking shite tho, thanks for comments

  14. ive recently got a strange cracking noise on full right hand lock,on rough ground or pulling out on an angle from a tight gateway etc,just had mot 2 weeks ago, nothing picked up there??noise definately comes from front right hand side, any ideas chaps
  15. cheers lads, got a 36" bar and chain in 3/8ths so just need a rim sprocket,ill pick one up at the weekend,might try a 20" on it just for fun !

    262,probably the best saw husky ever made,with 254 a close second, cherish it !!
  18. Dont forget fuel for saws,tractor,oils,chains etc punctures in your tractor,downtime for breakdowns etc,all adds up mate, ive been self employed for 18 years and still never seem to get it right !!, ill always help out tho when i can, just give me a nod

    tried screwfix, only have 25mm max, wickes have a 32mm will try elliots tool warehouse,cheers
  24. anyone know where i can get a 45mm auger bit,can only seem to find a forstner type bit ?
  25. fantastic saw,but then i love all 2 series huskys,easier to work on than modern saws,parts are readily available, you wont be dissapointed
