    lawn feed ?

the turf wasnt laid by me,ive just got the contract to maintain the grounds,i have got just about everything possible emerging through the turf, half bats, concrete, plastic, bits of arris rail etc, Just found out that the turf has been watered, but what appears to be happening on closer inspection is some grass is very green and long where as the rest is green but not as green as the long stuff, giving the impression that the other grass is yellow, if that makes sense. the " yellow " grass also appears to be in straight lines ie squares so i reckon there is some kind of footing/shed base/old structure underneath the ground, could do with an aeriel photo i think cheers for replies, im going to up the watering

    lawn feed ?

what is the best feed out there for a stressed lawn, this is new turf laid in april on very poorly prepared ground, it has gone yellow, i have not watered it as i have found in the past this can make it worse, ie roots coming to surface. Im at a bit of a loss what to do, so any help will be greatly appreciated cheers mike

  14. a guy asked me to cost a new shed for him, i costed for me to make one 16x8,3x2 frame, heavy f/e cladding, coroline roof, came in at £1400, he ordered one from a well known supplier, cost him nearly £1000, what a load of rubbish,1 inch frame,10mm cladding, felt roof, i had to modify it as i went along, ended up costing him £1300 all in. Will be firewood in 18 months imho, mine would have been good for 10 times that at least

  19. Does anyone do landscaping around new developments,ie, houses, care homes etc, i would like to know what soil you put down,ie existing or imported, If you use existing soil,do you screen and treat for weeds ? Depth of bark mulch ? The reason i ask is im having problems with a job which has been landscaped and i have to maintain it. I have costed the job on a monthly basis,4 visits per month.lawns, shrub beds etc What i didnt expect was for all the shrub beds to look like a lawn of weeds after 3 weeks, also im pulling out bricks, roots ,turf, concrete, plastic etc from the soil, which is barely below the surface,a smattering of bark has been laid straight on the soil with no liner. Do any of you have a spec to work to/client requirement or is it the norm to use existing soil cheers mike
