  2. im trying to find a company that will supply me with a green waste bin,660 ish litre with a fortnightly/monthly collection, any body know a firm ? cheers mike
  3. i get 5 litres for £28 so not cheap, he wants £24 odd for 1 litre
  4. spot on there mate,took on 4 new care home sites last year,blowing the paths off and the new laid turf came up, underneath was stones,fresh ash branches,an old bath mat and god knows what else,like you say, turf was good for the summer but now looking pretty bad
  5. since starting the thread ive found out that the lawn with the most issues was a carpark and a thin layer of soil was laid over scalping and then turfed, this was about 3 years ago apparently, fun and games ahead i think !!
  6. have left the grass to its own devices and seems to be thickening up,full of ragwort tho, so im going to treat with a 3 in 1

  8. According to the husky website max bar lengths 372 and 390 max bar 28" ?? 390 has 18cc more than 372 576 can have a 32" ? 555 can have a 24" but 560 xp only 20" WTF :lol:

  12. ive got husky 327ld split system,short reach hedge cutter and extension pole to turn it into long reach,also have chainsaw,strimmer attachments,powerful bit of kit,not cheap tho,similar money to stihl

    if you have a known running saw/strimmer, check the plug is the same and try that in the saw

  19. if id known i was gonna start a row i wouldnt have posted anything lol i have been in this game 25 years and never seen a lawn (if you can call it that) in such a poor state, i really think i will have to overseed or possibly lay new turf. thanks for all the input

Just taken over a contract and the existing maintenance person has been cutting the grass all winter and spring resulting in next to no grass ie length, do i let it grow and hopefully will come back as a half decent lawn or overseed ? i reckon the grass(whats left of it) is about 10mm and very sparse,really been scalped all winter what do i do to give it some body for want of a better word ? cheers:thumbup:
  21. husky 2101 , again a mans saw, never had problems starting it,its all about getting it just past tdc, they catch you out now and again tho:thumbup1:
  22. husky 340, bought it new in 1999, never let me down, originally bought for fencing work,ie ending rails,pointing posts etc , but that saw has cut many tons of firewood,felled and processed,ended and scarfed rails,pointed posts and anything else ive needed it to, goes pretty much everywhere with me, cracking little 40cc saw
