  4. ive still got 2 x 2003 hayter pro 48.s, as said bombproof,they are kept for small jobs as they produce a lovely finish still

Ive recently changed to the lawnflite pro high speed 21 "what a cracking bit of kit, picks up really well in the wet,bit skippy in the wet with the smooth roller tho, 5.5 honda engine gives loads of grunt and i tweaked mine a bit and now im nearly running behind it, heavy mower so you will need a ramp into van/pick up, nice control and it gives a lovely finish. ive used pretty much every roller mower out there and this is the best by far mike

  11. never a good thing if you get sawdust in your rim pmsl
  12. not doubting spud in anyway but could also be sawdust in your rim sprocket/clutch/brake band area,if used in the wet could be clutch bearing gone a bit rusty and combined with the sawdust could be causing the problem, ive had this a few times

  16. blimey that takes me back, i learnt to ride on a tomahawk, progressed to a chipper then to a chopper.mate had a striker ! 2 of us in our gang had choppers, 2 had grifters (heavy things) and the rest had assorted racers and made up contraptions. the lads that had racers etc got put in the hole and their patch burnt lol

  18. i sold a pole belt on ebay, went for 99p, but my young lab pup decided to have a chomp on it, messaged buyer and told him what had happened, but he was having none of it , to quote "we are not in the classroom " was genuine, my pup really did chew it up, ie wouldnt be safe so cancelled the sale, its still in the shed if he wants it lol

    it did feel like it had lost compression tbh, kept going till i dipped the clutch
  20. 3 pins,for instance, driven in slightly angled,(in a line) strop from top of pin to bottom of next one,etc etc,very effective, then you can add pins and strops for extra anchorage
