  3. Using an old zetor yesterday, long story short ! kept cutting out due to a fuel fault so was cranking for a while till it fired up. would not start but( i think the solenoid) was still spinning even with the key out had to whip battery lead off,bit of a spark ! i dont want to put lead back on as i have heard the battery could explode, leads were very hot by the time i got back with a spanner. any thoughts , is the starter knackered or more of an electrical fault from start button? this wasnt exactly a long story short really was it lol cheers mike
  4. 25mm down to 12mm feather edge,200mm board with 25mm overlap, 450mm max centres on your framework, probably not the cheapest route but will last a good while, belt and braces go 300mm centres on framework Mike

  17. i run a husky 525, great strimmer, and as you say the lowest vibes in its class, jonsered 2145 for the heavy stuff and a husky 128 as back up machine, that being said the 525 will happily work in 2 foot long grass all day, thirsty little bugger tho, but dosent have a very big fuel tank .

  24. Long story short Site i look after had to have a wild flower area as part of planning (site has been open 1 year exactly) New owner wants me to cut it down now because the grass is very long and there are hardly any wild flowers Question is , can you be fined ie the contractor, for cutting it down before it has flowered ? I told the new owner that he could get in trouble with the council for cutting it down and he said oh ill give them some guff about it needing reseeding. Any advice as to where i stand Cheers Mike
