  1. It's unusual whatever it is, not portuguese laurel though. Kinda feel I've seen it before but no Id I'm afraid, flowers look like viburnum to me but just don't know.
  2. I reckon it's just a Portuguese laurel without red petioles Stem looks right to me too
  3. Might be clerodendrum.
  4. Bet this man would get it
  5. Well thanks for everyone's efforts😊
  6. Acer griseum I think.
  7. Think with the instructions on one of mine it said your skin should read about 34%
  8. 👍. Looks a nice tree though.
  9. Well ta for trying anyway. Tis a puzzler for sure, hopefully one of those arboriculturists will pop along later, apparently they're experts on this sort of thing 😀
  10. Looks good ish don't think it's quite right though😊

  15. Maybe that's as close as we'll get Jon, fruits all wrong though as far as I can make out. Not like any sarcococca or osmanthus I've seen I'm afraid Steve
  16. It Is eleagnusish but not spikey as I recall and didn't have that scaly dusty rubbish that chokes you
  17. Pushing 6'2" and prob 14 1/2 stone Bit sky shy these days but still on the tools most days, was 12 1/2 stone till my late 20's but three weeks in Thailand saw me put on a stone and never been the same since
  18. Snigger. (Sorry)
  19. Cool. Thought it might have been too far gone tbh. 👍
  20. Is that the beech Jon (nepia) took down to you by any chance?
  21. We had one fail for a broken wire but they passed it without a wire Must be like a cars spare tyre, you don't need one but if you do it must function.
  22. Try snapping a bit off and chewing it Pop tastes bitter, or the twigs do so I guess it's the same for roots.
  23. Maybe, not so hot on the small print me.
  24. Pretty confident they're not protected. The tpo will only apply to trees that were there when it was made, I think trees that were under size when tpo made are exempt too. Hopefully one of the clever people will confirm this soon.
