  1. I've had the opposite, had a couple of 088 chains I didn't have the time to sharpen and dropped them in to a local work shop, when I came to resharpen them later it was like I had a knitting needle rather than a file. Turns out they're been to hasty with the grinder and got them so hot they were too hard for the file to deal with.
  2. Seeds are edible aren't they? Thought that was how they were introduced, someone took it off their plate and planted it.
  3. Yep. Once the crowns been dismantled there's a nice lump of wood there. Unless there is room to drop it of course.
  4. Much as its posted far to regularly the "highly valuable black walnut tree" video may apply here.

  10. If clients start haggling because a jobs gone better/quicker than expected ask them if they'd have offered to pay extra if it's run over, that should quieten them down a bit.
  11. Not one to criticise others work methods but fuelling up on patios/stonework ? Only takes one spillage and a pita client for a lot of grief. Is it just me??? Other than that liked it. 👍🏻
  12. Mid Surrey farm on the Reigate rd the only public one I know but you prob know that one anyway.
  13. I think just taking/posting them back to the retailer works. Are they mark 3's?
  14. Iron wood would have a bit more colour to it I think, thing with witch hazel is I never notice them unless they're in flower so not that good with them.
  15. Not a witch hazel is it?
  16. Could this be that ☝? It's one I admire every autumn and may find some space for one myself.
  17. Aldi had boxes of 8 compressed wood briquettes last week for £2.99, they were excellent.
  18. Single scale/covering on the bud helps Id it as a willow I believe.
  19. Yep. Fresh teeth on a dead cherry stump for me, nasty fat shallow roots too and you can bet there'd be one under that fence if you're digging it out.
  20. We're a bit further south but a 2 ft cherry stump £120 min
  21. Rhus was first thought too but again only familiar with typhina which it isn't. This one not too bad looking https://www.burncoose.co.uk/site/plants.cfm?pl_id=3702
  22. Depends how knotty your wood is and wether you can afford to bin the stuff that won't split. That said 2 ton isn't a great increase
