  1. This beautiful oak has had to come down to make way for a new building. It has been surveyed and is in great health although there is a crack at the base which is not anticipated to go very far into the trunk. The trunk is 10m in length, 105cm diameter at the base and 60cm diameter at the tip. A lane runs parallel to the trunk on just the other side of the hedge that you can see in the pics which would be the access. The fencing panels could be removed, although this would need to be done by the buyer. Just in case any helpful posters would like to refer me to the "very valuable black walnut" post - we have already enjoyed that line of banter! Thanks though. Buyer to collect from Heathfield, East Sussex, TN21 0TB. Offers invited.

  3. Hi, Thanks for your comments. The access is good, the lane runs just behind the fence panel you can see behind the tree. The fence could probably come out without too much of an issue.
  4. Hi, I am new to the forum so hopefully I am in the right place. We have a healthy oak tree that needs to be removed to make way for a new building. It is approximately 100ft tall, very straight trunk (see pics) and has been surveyed to confirm it is in good health. It is 10ft circumference (measured at 6ft from the ground). We would like to try and sell it for its plank potential as it really is very straight. We have checked and this is no TPO on it so it is good to go. Can anyone suggest how to go about finding a potential buyer for something like this? The tree is located in Heathfield, East Sussex, TN21 0TB. Thanks in advance Arbtalk!
