  1. Please help me identify these shrubs in the foreground that were dug up from my garden, without permission, by my tenants. I would like to replace them. The house is in Maidstone. Many thanks, Brian
  2. Hello all, I have some trees in my garden and would love to know what they are - have tried some of those apps without much luck, a gardener who came around recently couldn't help either! Listing them separately so that it doesn't get confusing between the pictures ... this is Tree 4 Thank you all in advance! Jennifer

  6. Can anyone identify this tree, seen in housing estate in Truro, Cornwall. Think I might have seen a much larger specimen in Scilly? Has very distinctive spiky bark, almost like rose thorns and strange grub like buds!
  7. Hi can any help ID these two evergreen trees please. Many thanks
  8. I live in South Carolina, USA. I recently saw a beautiful tree in red Fall foliage on a TV program; it is in Lorie, France. I was able to take 2 photos from the television to aid me in identifying it. One shows its overall form, the other shows a leaf closeup. I asked tree experts at nearby Clemson University, and their best guess in a Black Gum, although several suggested it may be a European specie unknown to them. The logical person to ask would be someone in France, but I don't speak the language. I have two opinions from the UK: Elm and Persian Ironwood. Can anyone identify this tree? Thank you, Don
