  1. A new rope is much easier to splice than one that has been climbed on a lot is what Tommy is on about.
  2. I reckon that it is Phellinus igniarius (L.) Quél. - Willow Bracket. Can anyone confirm or deny this.

  7. Best part of a day on my own with engine crane and trolley jack. Did the clutch 18mths ago took engine out to do much easier as gravity helping you and easier lump to move around/balance. The gearbox/transfer box is bloody awkward to line up correctly with engine from underneath if you don't have the correct cradle
  8. Landrover's gearbox, reverse gear locking up, recon one ordered from ashcrofts.
  9. Speed sensor is built into the alternator, check belt tension
  10. A good old fashioned poultice then felix
  11. Looks normal to me for a syc over 60-70 yrs old, so long as the underlying bark is sound.

  15. The axle on my 150dhb gave up this evening, the drop arm from suspension to stub axle collapsed(thanks to the road salt up here). I am looking for a new complete axle, any pointers, will be calling spectrum, western towing etc in the morning. Axle is Alko st024050. Thanks
  16. There is a built in one in our steading
  17. If its the same/similar to my 450, which had a seized clutch. 4 bolts hold clutch housing to engine.
  18. Been used last in the rain or left out in it
  19. Sound like something seized/ rusted in the clutch mechanism, split and check.
