  3. looks to me that someone has replaced the original solenoid with an aftermarket one, as its cheaper than genuine, and that is now failing. The aftermarket looks to me to have a separate earth the black wire, the white or yellow one being the starter wire.

  14. The beauty of farm jacks when used for vehicle recovery is their instability, allowing you tojack up and push the jack sideways out of the ruts or onto fresh ground.

  18. Sheet of newspaper or similar in bottom of the basket helps reduce it a lot
  19. Steve you could try parkers nurseries, cheap as chips and on dwarf rootstock M26, if they have the varieties you wish thats where we get our maidens from. www.dutchbulbs.co.uk
  20. Start with a maiden of your chose variety on a dwarf rootstock, then you can prune/train to whatever style you choose. Or buy one that is already trained in a fan etc ,but more expensive. Its more fun to train and develop your own trees in your chosen style, than buying pre done, just takes longer.

  22. Had the Rayburn lit most of August to keep 88yr old father in law warm, we have been struggling. He was up here escaping the heat in Suffolk.
  23. Been there over 10 yrs ago, replaced two 200t oil pumps and now use rye oils, lesson learned
