  2. Can always drill a hole in the handle and put a key ring ring through it and tie a tether to it. I just keep mine in pocket or stuffed down T shirt etc, not best practice, just don't fall with it there.
  3. The felcos I use most were bought in the 70's, swivel handles are well worn. Would not really bother with any other makes, yes you can break the blades if you get greedy with them, but they are a consumable

  5. Why avoid forestry? Its good experience, you will become a good cutter. Its generally away from the public. Its brutal on saws and your body. You use a lot of fuel etc, pay not that good. Midges. Need we go on?

  17. Used to be Yale bluetongue that was recommended for the old one. Mate runs his on Fly and happy with it.

    Tree Blasting

    We did some blast felling in Speyside about 10-15 yrs ago. There was a large windblown lying on top of 2 or 3 trees which were all overhanging the road. Local TA's set the charges and blew them as a demolition exercise.
