  5. I have some dead Elm trees to remove from a listed building grade A in Aberdeenshire. The grounds are designated a garden and designed landscape, do I need permission from Historic Enviroment Scotland before felling them, they are not in a conservation area or have TPO's on them. Thanks in advance
  6. Would expect crane to be more than that steve. I quoted one back end of last year and it was over £1400 for crane contract lift, with no road closures.
  7. I'm in Aberdeenshire and buy from FR Jones, never had a warranty claim yet in 20 yrs, mind you I don't have any autotune type saws, so can fix them myself or send to spud.

  9. Is the tree grafted, could be the rootstock, seems high for a graft though. Yes cut off the green as it will dominate as stronger growth due to better photsynthesis. 2nd question:- yes you should remove crossing branches. Rules of pruning, remove in order of importance, dead, dying, diseased, crossing and then prune for asthetics.

  15. I just buy mine off fleabay, never paid more than £120 for a new pair inc delivery, just need to be patient and bide your time, just don't bid me up.
  16. Could just use the iron on pfanner ones and you'll eventually have a proper pair of trousers. Btw I use hiflex as well and just cut an old pair up to make patches.
