  1. That's what he said, he was old enough then as I am now. I have no reason to doubt him as I used to do a lot of work with him, he has now retired, though the mog still features on here.

  8. Prob because they have an experienced level 3 technician checking everything before they start, rather than a newby fresh out of a crash course under pressure to get the job done by an employer.

  15. Had that happen a few times when working on phone mast sites. Chainsaw files can be handy or a level 6 key(bolt croppers). All superseded by cordless grinders.
  16. True, but they are only going one way and generally do not have branches to get in the way wrap around. Used twin ropes for Ice climbing in the 80's but mainly to share the load if you fell on very sketchy anchors.
  17. Suppose they will fine me for forcing myself to climb on one rope. Same goes for loler, fine me for forcing myself to climb on untested kit, if I have any doubts on kit it gets binned and replaced.
