  1. Where are you, then someone will give a local recommendation or send to @spudulike
  2. Funny that when I had house in Suffolk, the wall and soles plates along with multiple studs, were all replaced with green oak, much easier to work with
  3. Thanks Stephen, sent to client, hopefully keep them quiet for a whilst......
  4. I have been asked by one of our customers to provide a risk assessment for covid 19, does anyone I have one I could beg borrow or steal. Items they want covered are :- 1. The action employees take should they or one of their own household members has Covid-19 symptoms or are have been diagnosed with Covid19. 2. The Social Distancing rules employees are to follow. 3. The hygiene precautions employees are to follow. 4. What PPE the employees are to be provided with and when they should use it. 5. Details of the training that has been given to employees.
  5. Rob, will sell an adaptor to fit large mount to medium mount.
  6. Best man to speak to is Rob at chainsawbars.co.uk. @Rob D
  7. I take you have changed the sprocket from 3/8 to 404 to suit?
  8. They will have a torque setting, but I have never checked them. @Timberwolf Official
  9. Also check the holders the blades bolt to are tight as IIRC they are bolted to the flywheel. Did you clean the seats the blades sit in before fitting the new ones and what torque setting as I think its 45ft/Lb. As mick said spinning flywheel with belts will show up any failing bearing or fouling on anvil. I cant remember what clearance there should be btw blade and anvil, off the top of my head its something like 3-4mm.
  10. Loads of threads on here about the subject, mainly dependant on location and what you bring to the party. £100-200.

    Jokes???

Is that not Normal for Norfolk
  15. Not sure but think bolts go other way with nuts inside clutch cover, with washers under bolt heads.

    Saw upgrade

372, no electronic carb to go wrong, they are good solid saws. 365xt can easily be converted to a 372xt. Can run your stihl bars on 372 etc with a converter from chainsawbars.co.uk. Its not as sporty as a 462 or 500i, but its for ringing up firewood after all, not felling on piece rate. Was offered a good s/h 372 about a month ago for £200, should have bought it really, was well looked after with little use.

    Saw upgrade

372xp if you can get hold of one
  18. Not as badly worn as I first thought from your previous pics, glad they have stiffened up the clutch, surprising how a little wear makes a big difference.

    Scam?

Am in Dundee this week, can have a look if you want.
  20. Sounds like the race to the bottom that happens in tree surgery.
  21. Swallows been passing through here for about a week now on route elsewhere, none of the residents returned yet.
  22. What does the village idiot do programmes as well as ancient woodland management?
  23. He does the ones round St Magnus Cathedral in Kirkwall. There is also a glen of sycamore near Finstown on the road to Stromness and that's about it. They are all well wind and salt pruned.
  24. There are a few up there just not a lot, lad I know does work on them for Historic Scotland.
  25. Easy enough to change, clutch off, covers off and pump out.
