That will be the Isle of Lewis then.
  7. One of the sites I look after for the Gas Board, there was a issue with contamination so decided to top dress the gravel surface, they wanted 70mm of gravel on top of existing. Unfortunately the contractor used was asked to put 70cm of gravel on top, they used water worked gravel as well, its like quicksand there now, drive on there at your peril. The mistake was noticed at the time but at least 30cm was put on.

Whereabouts in Scotland are you as its a big place, I am guessing west coast or islands? going by your user name and expected transport costs. At least give us village name or distance to nearest town etc
  9. Kubota B7100 compact gearbox on the bench at the moment as it ate the 4wd gears, now on the search for parts. Got away with needing 1 gear the selector pad and a needle bearing.
  10. Wooden gate strut in compression, metal gate strut in tension.
  11. Looking good, strut on gate wrong way round, that's the way for steel gates.
  12. Not bad price if that includes travelling from droitwich.
  13. Agree with all David says, get it out that pot and into the ground with plenty of organic matter as a mulch, not round the trunk and plenty of watering until well established, might be worth putting watering tube. Where about's are you as the ground looks dry and impoverished and its been very dry and not recently.
  14. Unless your using heavy water, but personally I would not be drinking it.
  15. Don't want to void the warranty, no pun intended.
  16. It would be rude to refuse it, only time been offered money by the government (I know we will be paying for it later)
  17. Wont need to work this yr then...…..
  18. No unless in conservation area (need to notify council of your intention to carry out works) or it has a tree preservation order on it, which I very much doubt. Only other is if there were any planning conditions applying to property, would show on your deeds.
  19. That will be the one near Dufftown then
  20. Contract is priced per site, so the more you do the more you earn, 570 sites, 225 mile radius from home, 2 visits per site for small ones, 3 on the large ones . Some small sites and some 2-3 Acres, so invested in a range of nozzles and booms to be efficient, 4 nozzle booms the way to go for large areas, low drift bubble jet nozzles to reduce drift in breezy conditions. Long days to make that money plus take off accommodation travelling and chem costs. Plus allow for the f... factor from the pen pushers I contract to.
  21. Have 2 CP 15 Classics here, not the most comfortable in comparison to Berthoud, but wont change until they break. They are about 15 yrs old. Do about 50-60 days spraying a year and bring in about 35-40K of work.
  22. Hope you have a good back, as they will cripple you if used for long periods, handy piece of mind.
  23. Like fur coat and no knickers?
