  1. Thanks very much, everyone. We've not long been in the property but we've noticed it seems to have an extravagant bloom for a few days once a year then look ordinary for the rest of the year. It overhangs our cars and the amount of stuff that comes off it has left the windscreen wipers literally stuck to the windscreen. I'd like to get rid of it and replace it with another tree but I'm not sure which. Something low maintenance with limited root growth but pleasant on the eye - does anyone have any recommendations. Ideally don't want it to be very large, it's at the front of the path so people would need to walk under it without getting a face full of branch.

About

Arbtalk.co.uk is a hub for the arboriculture industry in the UK.
If you're just starting out and you need business, equipment, tech or training support you're in the right place.  If you've done it, made it, got a van load of oily t-shirts and have decided to give something back by sharing your knowledge or wisdom,  then you're welcome too.
If you would like to contribute to making this industry more effective and safe then welcome.
Just like a living tree, it'll always be a work in progress.
Please have a look around, sign up, share and contribute the best you have.
