  6. Depends how much you use them, I grease them daily when using them all day. It's cheaper to loose a bit of grease than a gearbox.

  18. Old style muck spreader chains, they were a 3-4" pitch. Makes such as JF, an old one could be a good donor for sprockets etc.

    Agree a good spotter on the ground is essential.
  20. Because we are like that we bottle it up, been there tried that. Ok wed night, walked out the door Thursday morning. Ok now but not a nice place to be, don't want to repeat it.

    Done it on large spreading Beech tree reductions, two separate teams in effect working opposite sides of the tree, as said plenty of ropes in the tree though. Much easier if its cut and chuck. Also easier if both working SRT with single main rope and positioning rope, ahem.
