  6. That will be me then, guilty milord. Best cancel tomorrows job.
  7. Don't have any splash backs or shower in this house so no need for sealant. Bath and sinks sit against wall with a slight gap. 🙂
  8. Same here 3 pairs on the go, one of which is def summer only wear due to holes, one nicely broken in and the other in between. Just about to buy next pair to break in. I buy them as they are the only tall boot that I know of and at 6ft 4 with long legs, when climbing they prevent a gap btw trousers and boots, nice not to have a boot full of sawdust at the end of the day as well.
  9. OEM is best then Meteor then prob Hyway. And yes then there are the chance your arm £22 ones.

  12. It will be slow on a 18" bar but you could use skip chain to ease the strain on the saw, if its available in the appropriate chain size.

    Bar guage

Yes they are the same width with the difference being in the drive link widths as you said. But the overall cut width are different as this made up of the right and left cutters swept area which overlap, the degree of overlap depends on the drive link width. Therefore a .50 chain overall width is less than a .58 which is lee than a .63, which is why in theory a .50 chain cuts quicker than a .63 one and why a part worn chain cuts quicker than a new one as the overall cut width reduces as you sharpen the chain ( as cutters are not parallel to the guide bar they narrow slightly away from the cutting edge and drop slightly which is why you lower the depth guages).
