  1. Anyone tried the hitchhiker xf as considering getting one?
  2. Breaker bar on it resting against a chassis rail, either on top of the right hand one in pics or under left hand one, whichever one is likely to do less damage if it comes off, prob left hand one. disconnect electrics to injector pump so it cannot start, then flick the key to pulse the starter and very briefly part turn engine to break the bolt free. once loosened bolt should come out with ratchet and then you have to get pulley off. drape a big rag over breaker bar so if it comes off it does not fly as far.
  3. Like @Johnsond has on his trailer
  4. To be honest there was already rot in the union before the recent failure. even tidying up the damaged stub will leave access for rots etc. The main stem is weakened and the tree looks to be weighted towards the road. Not the answer you wish to hear but best option would be to remove the tree completely, unless you are willing to live with the future risk to others.
  5. Had your moneys worth out of that seal.
  6. I think you may struggle to find a stove with a boiler fitted as supplied. You may find an old stock one or a retrofit boiler to put in a suitable stove. IIRC they are/have been stopped from sale due to emissions.
  7. Is that a de-rail or a skid off topic due to wrong compound for the conditions.
  8. Do the lift arms go up and down while moving the quadrant levers to the RHS of the seat. You may have to stand on the lift arms to get them to go down. If so, you have the important internal bits and only need the drop links, lower arms and some of the top link linkage.
  9. Did not realize there was an upper limit to the club and I am cast out of it, I was 60 in June.
  10. Not a bad place you have got there AJ
  11. Run winter tyres all year round, actually found the summer tyres wore quicker as used to swap over, now can't be arsed.
  12. Don't worry you will get plenty of rough and they will keep the smooth. Wherabouts in the country and what network?
  13. Been offered 37 t of spruce at roadside at £30/t
  14. Would not open for me either.
  15. If you suspect diesel in the oil, have a sniff of it or if you think there is a lot of diesel in it, put a few drops from dipstick onto a sheet of white paper, You will get a dark mark on the paper from the oil if you have a paler halo around it that will be the diesel as its thinner, Had it a few times with cracked head on Land Rover TD5's
