  1. Have you got Windows Vista? It comes with it, its a live streaming recording program. On Windows XP you should be able to directly import to movie maker as long as your camera is left turned on.
  2. I've just found a really easy way:thumbup: Put the video into windows live movie maker, then save it. Then open windows movie movie maker, in tasks import video and import the live one you saved earlier. Once finished you can publish it or convert it to mp4.
  3. Rupe, I think the corsican pine video is as good in quality as mine. Will have a little go at converting to wmv file instead. Liked the rigging block setup too.

  4. Hmm well im stumped then, maybe it could be a software thing with people having different programs, which in turn would effect the running of the system as AVI doesn't like to run on my laptop but is fine on my main computer?? Just a bit of a guess really. Will check your video when its up.
  5. Nice video but i would like to know the reason for removing it. Church's normally don't part with cash that easily.
  6. I quoted a job with some scaffolding to remove the last 15ft of stem before christmas. It was £400 to be set-up and cleared away, they said it could stay set up on site for 1 month. The tree was right over some old tomb stones and there was no way i could safely dismantle it, even with rigging. Anyway didn't get the job, the other guys used a crane which i was told was only £600 a day. oh and thier quote was cheaper so can't see how they made any money on that one. But i rather not get the job than do it at a loss.
  7. The one thing i would change would be setting my company up earlier. When i worked for other companies (employed) you were expected to graft stupidly hard, pick up the biggest size logs you could, work till dusk, 5 days a week. Now i don't need to work 5 days a week, just plod along doing my own thing not trying to be the biggest company around. So thats what id change
  8. His looks like a double foot system, the one in the link is just a single foot ascender.? Petzl pantin foot ascenders are cheep as chips to so worth a buy just to keep in your kit bag.
  9. Yeah i convert it first then edit it.
  10. I used this program Convert AVI to MP4, One Free Video Converting Software , just save as you normally would then browse with this program to convert.
  11. Thats one of the best diagrams of tree work i've ever seen! He must have spent hours putting those sticks in the ground and they were nearly all the same height!
  12. Don't worry i've been told by my 5 year old nephew if you cut a part of you off it grows back!
  13. Bloomin heck that horse has some detail on it!
  14. Yeah it is the natanoko 330. i seem to use the zubat 330 but prefer the natanoko by miles for some reason, just think i like a straight blade compaired to a curved one:001_rolleyes:
  15. Song is Paralyzer by Finger Eleven.
  16. Lovely bit of kit, although in my personal experiance with the down-loading of files can be a bit tricky as it records in AVI file format and if you want to edit it with movie maker it needs to be a MP4 file. This does require a free download program from the internet.[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KjDh_D0t8xw]YouTube - Tree climbing filmed with Drift Inovation X170 Helmet Camera[/ame]

  23. Have you tried using a rabbiting spade? Long straight steel handle so theres no impact going through your hands. We used them when we would plant thousands of trees in the city, bricks, flints, old roots, cable tv, Bt broadband lines no problem! they do insulated versions to, to help you not get fried. Stanton hope do the non insulated one for £43.85
