  1. Anyone know of any decent books for DIY benches, tables, etc, etc?
  2. Right i've decided it might be a better investment to buy the 56" mill instead of the 36" as it can be reduced to fit my 30" bar and has potential to be made bigger without me having to buy another mill. Good idea?
  3. go on, buy buy buy You must have stakes in his buisness:lol::lol:

  5. Hi Rob,

Im thinking of buying the Alaskan mill 3 36" from you and was wondering if the arbtalk 10% was applicable for the mill itself?

    Ian.

  6. I think its going to be the alaskan mill 36" looks better than the 30" good call Josh. Plus if i E-mail Rob D it says 10% off! so always a winner with me:thumbup:
  7. Looking into buying a mill jig for a chainsaw and have been looking into the logosol big mill basic which is £500 odd quid, so weighing up the other options out there i.e. the Alaskan mill 30" to be exact and it only costs £180. So are the Alaskans a pile of poo? or are they great? P.S im only milling for the sake of turning what would be firewood into a resource.
  8. Great lunge! i hope you added it to the lunge thread? Oh yeah, nice fell.
  9. Hi, im looking to start planking the bigger stems of oak, beech etc if fell to use it as a better resource instead of firewood. I was wondering those who do plank timber what the cost you sell it at to carpenters for instance. I asked a few near me who are all interested in fresh cuts of oak mainly. I don't want to undercharge as such. Any ball park figure would be good for me to see whats possible. Per plank, cube weight, meter, etc If you don't want to post costs openly on here PM me.
  10. Lop it and Scarper LTD.
  11. You've got to look beyond the arb factor its referd to in ann's diary a few times so something like this is worth preserving till its ultimate demise in my opinion.
  12. Plus the numbers on the add and numbers on the truck don't add up. Why change it for sale reasons? For cash sale too hmm no way for me, shame tho six grand is a bargin!
