  1. Ordered my 36" mill on monday evening. Arrived at my door by noon today! Also thanks for the youtube construction post made assembly so, so, so much easier than reading the manual (probaly site be at it now). Even got a tree to practice on tomorrow! Great service would definatly recommend them.
  2. I like that! Clever idea!
  3. Sorry:blushing: it would be a police issue once evidence is collected and all other channels have been exhausted. As its breach of a trademark, copywright but if its not registered as one theres nothing you can do as far as im aware. I have tried telling you my link would of explained it better.
  4. It assumed tree surgeons dun't naw how to spell:001_cool:
  5. Oh:confused1: You could call yourself King arborist if you wanted but by not putting AA cert arb etc. Nought can be done.
  6. Have you tried the alaskan mill sub forum on here?
  7. Yep or the courts but as i've been saying your going to have to prove it, thats the hard bit. IMO its like, well how many tree companys say 'complete tree care' on thier website, side of van, cards? Techincally thats as bad as someone ripping your mission statement off.
  8. Im trying to say theres alot of pit falls and loop holes. The IPO will provided the information on reg trademarks. But like i said its going to be very, very hard to prove that even yourself came up with the mission statement. Unless you've been going longer than them you might be able to, but not sure. Check the website i posted it should have all the info you need. Also probaly explained alot better than i have. P.S Good luck, Sorry registering the trademark effectively takes it off the market like website domain names.
  9. AA cert arborist? if so id inform the AA as im sure they took someone to court last year over signs on the truck. Id assume they'd take him to court too.
  10. I may ramble a bit with this. The name can only be enforced if its protected by a trade mark not copywright. I.e a sole trader trades as Joe bloggs trading as King tree. This does not stop another sole trader being Mat smith trading as King tree. But registering this will stop this happening in the UK. There are ways round it E.g. MR TREES, nothing stopping someone else being MR TREEZ. Mission statments are very hard to enforce copywright on because 'your industry' will have alot of people with the same aims and goals. Common one for our is 'trees managed from a health and safety point of view.' If they've ripped of something like over 10yrs experiance and cannot back this claim up with past employment, certificates etc. Then thats a whole different kettle of fish (false advertisement). To be honest theres very little you can do and its probaly not worth throwing money at as the end result won't get your money back. Also trade marks cost about £250 to register and have to be renewed every 10 years see the goverment website for trade marks http://www.ipo.gov.uk/tm.htm
  11. If i think what your saying is tying a bowline for instance then clipping a crab into that then whipping it round the branch and clip!? Then yes for the last 10 years i've been doing that:thumbup:. I prefer putting a webbing sling larks footed around the branch the clpping the crab to that (reduced risk of side loading).
  12. I found my self calling him not Nosak but something else.
  13. Oh go read the forum too i suspect a couple of members on here were winding him up...............
  14. Found this link in the stunt fell thread Saw For Hire -- Extras and Freebies -- Show Video Player Go to episode 13. Well just watch it, the guy has to be.... well watch. If you do scan through some other episodes i think in 8 or 9 they nearly topple thier crane. Just remember the most dangerous vegitaion on the planet is trees!!!!!
  15. Saw For Hire -- Online Store -- Cast Apparel and Show Logoware Underwear for the missus i think?
  16. http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_UdIftRLT2AY/SbpSgCfYG7I/AAAAAAAAA-A/cN0ii3evO8k/s400/090313Goldenraintree2.jpg Its alovely bit of work
  17. Just what i was thinking. Should be ordering mine tonight getting the 36" mill.
  18. I've used both over the past few years and personally preferred the blaze. But to be honest there different size diameter rope so which ever you like will be good. Just see if you can find anyone who's got them and have a play. Theres nothing worse than having a rope you hate.
  19. Are they any good? do you only use it on small backgarden jobs where the client wants to keep the chippngs?
  20. Phew i was starting to get myself confused with other regs that i don't understand:001_rolleyes:
  21. As far as i know any truck over 3500kgs requires a operatrs licence (tachographs) and any trucks trailer/chipper weighing over 750kgs requires trailer test (except pre 97 licences)? that was my understanding? So if your truck weighs 1500kgs and you have a 750kgs chippper you can only carry 1250kgs inc load, tools, passengers and fuel?
  22. Looks like something from WW2:thumbup:
  23. Looking through youtube and found this! Can't say i remember hearing it on our news tho. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=24n77GgRtrw]YouTube - KillDozer[/ame]
  24. Im fairly sure as an employer you are legally bound by the managing of health and safety at works act to replace any broken or unsafe PPE and equiment. But hey tell him that and he will probaly believe you. My boss said that to me when i was younger and i still look after my kit well today.
