  1. Oh before i forget any recommendations on any cord that works well for yourselves would be nice.
  2. just measured it 950mm
  3. Not thought of using a VT on it just looked at the length its not 1m long just read it wrong its just the normal length sold with spliced eyes for use with the hitchclimber pulley.
  4. Arbtalk(or arbporn) I guess shes being clever and referring to the large amount of wood on here.
  5. Look ok to me,
  6. I bought 2 eye to eye 8mm 1m length's to use on my 11.5mm Yale 'ice' rope (not a new rope too). Results have been terrible, constant slipping from lack of grip. Went from a knut to howards to a TK and then to a swabish (only one that didn't when used as a 6 wrap). I've given it a fair trial 3 months use in the dry, snow and rain and still the slippage continues. Anyone else had this? Im going to bring out my spare rope tomorrow 13mm XTC 'fire' and hope that it works on it better if not it maybe the most expensive pre-tension cord i've ever bought for my rigging kit.
  7. Maybe put a blue bulb in.... The police ones never break and they go so fast.
  8. Did you need a license in the end? i've got a pine tree to fell, told the client that we would have to wait till the crows finished nesting. But if i need a license to remove non-active nests too?? maybe he will have to wait a bit longer. Shame its on a main road...
  9. A chipper with a flashing light:thumbup: i like it!
  10. They seem to only stock random things like, top hoses, and tailgate latches in my experience. Think there more interested in selling cars and doing a 'full service' whilst getting paid a small fortune.
  11. Some how i went from a search on here to treebuzz and then a link back to here??
  12. Ok im thinking of doing the cert arb exam later this year, wherever it may be. I have the Tech cert and was wondering if any others with tech cert or higher have done this afterwards? Mainly for me it would be a sales pitch to customers im AA tech cert + cert Arborist...... Maybe what gets you the job? Not sure as yet because i normally drop the tech cert in when they ask me about my training etc. P.S. Hope your reading this silver back so send me some info:laugh1:
  13. Silver backs the guy to talk to about this Hama drop him a PM.

  18. Hes got 3D plans too:lol:
  19. Is this classed as 'Extreme stunt felling'?
  20. Nope, due to gravitational pressure we would pop like a pea.
  21. Sorry got it Fall=messy pants=stem=ouch. Just couldn't resist.
  22. Yeah i thought about that but without doing it as such speed=dist/time i didn't really want to hazard a guess on that. As weight variances will give diff readings i kind of thought hmm bit too in depth for me that is.... i need someone else to work that out or leave a little bit of maths for hama...
  23. Got to love that feeling going up on the hook. Still remember my first time they took me up, being lifted with nothing close to your body other than your cambium saver around a crane hook, felt very surreal. Nice work mate, Good clean job.
  24. Just been scanning through the search engine on here for a few knots. Realizing that it might be a good idea if there was a thread where they could be placed and easy to find for everyone? So post them here if you like:001_tongue: http://www.cave.org.vt.edu/knots.shtml#SECTION000111000000000000000 I know they haven't been dressed/attached to a crab but you should get the gist of it...
