  1. I have seen worse done to tpo trees, 1 particular council told me unless the contractor was caught red handed they wouldn't pursue the case as they don't have sufficient funds
  2. lad who works for me clocked how many miles he had walked dragging brash and moving log, was 8.3 miles
  3. How does it know how many steps you have done?
  4. GET ROOF OFF....
  5. Both my local nfu offices wouldn't insure me as i was outside both their areas! despite 1 saying i was on the others patch! eh
  6. Do whichever works the best in the situation your in, sometimes rope through a natural crotch if its only a couple of bits, I dont see much point in setting pulleys lowering bollards up etc if you don't have to. If the jobs done nowts broke everyone is ok customer is happy and u got paid that's all you want. Don't see how you can dismantle every tree without some form of rigging though:confused1:
  7. I have a road tow uniforest, 10t. Made the table bigger so we can split bigger rings. All ours is ringed up, its a productive machine not as effective as the above machines but depends what your after.
  8. I am looking for a reputable place to buy ad blue from in the Wakefield/leeds area. Any ideas? Or am I better off buying online and getting it delivered.
  9. I have never installed predrilled concrete fence posts with wood rail and pale before, as the wood rails overlap the posts how do they attach to the posts where they join? Are the ends notched out, overlapped and then bolted on?
  10. Firewood is piling up in the yard so I am considering getting somebody in a few days a week to process it, lots of it is too big for saw bench so will need cross cutting before its split. As they would be working alone I am not sure how it would work from a health and safety point of view? I know folk have a system of checking in every hour or so but this seems flawed!
  11. Steady away booked until 3rd June, could be better but cant complain, being finishing early all last week for a change.

  13. I have gone through 3 this week! 1 turned up 15 mins late for interview, 1 decided that stood round the side of the van on the phone watching me kill myself moving log was best, and the other stood on the pavement covered in chip & twigs with the blower shovel & brush at his feet for 15 mins whilst I was on the blower to a client before I had to tell him to clear up! Wtf is wrong with folk? First impressions count for everything when your wanting work. Work hard, leave ur fags and phone alone till snap time, use your common sense and don't wait to be told what to do, have a laugh get paid go home! Folk don't wanna work at all!!;
  14. I am looking for a ride on mower with high tip collector box for a contract that may be in the pipeline, any help? i dont know much about mowers, i have drove them but not bought 1
  15. Do it pal, it has filled in gaps in tree work for us, folk like to have 1 contractor that can come in and remove trees/hedging grind the stumps and whack a new fence up we have done loads of it. I like doing it as i find doing trees can get on your nerves a bit, its hard work doing concrete but it looks good, if your gunna do it its worth getting a mixer, generator & breaker as they make the job much faster
  16. These are some of our latest efforts, the trellis is 2" diamond planed timber convex top @ 4 x 3 panels all made up to order, is the best looking trellis i have ever done to date

  18. I like that, good job...
  19. Pics??? I like a good picture...
  20. I don't want tickets, id put the right person through them! someone that comes on time will do a days work, does not need me to wipe his arse for him, and does not expect to be on £150 a day after doing 1 days brash dragging , so many lads cant see past the end of their nose and realise that you wont get an easy ride through life
  21. Looks like a chainsaw protective onesie...but more gay
  22. Thats an ospray...American army use them lots .
