  1. Yes, apparently its the last 1 global will get as they are bringing a new model out 2250r which from what i can gather is pretty much the same machine but with stuff moved around to give it a low centre of gravity and a switch to engage the cutter head instead of a lever. The 2550 looks like a beast of a machine but too big for what we need.
  2. 2250, Built like a tank, its worth going to global if only to look at the tackle they have got, some cool machines.
  3. I will tell you what the hydro grinders are like in a few weeks as i have just put deposit down on a Bandit from dean
  4. What he says, i had to open a business account when i went ltd which i pay £5 a month for, i still get cheques made into my name if possible and pay those and cash into a personal savings account then transfer them over to business acc online, that way i avoid being charged to pay into business account
  5. Funny you should say that, lad who works for me is **** hot on the xbox...maybe he has transferrable skills.
  6. To be fair the 2010 has tackled some big stumps, but its took 2 of us double teaming it to get it out, i would imagine remote machines are much user friendly.
  7. Good point Ian, i am planning to keep the 2010 for crap access jobs and get something bigger to tackle a more diverse range of stumps, plus im fed up of ragging myself backwards and forwards
  8. Anybody had or used a Bandit 2250 track grinder? Just been looking at the spec and they look as good as if not better than the carlton.
  9. I am looking for £70 plus vat per cage, minimum order of 5 collection only, preferably an ibc exchange 10 empty cages in 10 full cages out. Access is a bit restricted i have had an 8 legger in before but no bigger, all hardwood mostly beech at the moment. I am not a large scale firewood merchant logs are a by product of the tree work we do, and so don't have an endless supply of logs, i have around 100 cages of hardwood that was felled and split before christmas.
  10. What is the difference between belt driven stump grinders and hydraulically operated cutting heads? from a maintenance point of view i would think hydraulic is better as there's less parts to go wrong
  11. How do green teeth compare to the sandvik ones?
  12. Thats jammy, could do to ring orange plant up monday to get a price.
  13. I have sandvik ones on atm and they are expensive, must say they are good teeth though, how much was the grinder Johny?
  14. I have a carlton sp2010 which is a good grinder but it is killing me riving it back and forward! what are the 4012 like? orange plant is doing 0% finance at the moment.
  15. I have a fair few ibc's full of split logs, i am fed up of faffing around selling 1 and 2 at a time to various customers as we are generally busy doing other work i am finding it hard to find the time to go out delivering, mite sound like a silly question but is there a market out there for wholesale logs? i am considering selling in bulk.
  16. I had an old bloke try running me over on his mobility scooter after driving through signs and barrier tape! i tried to tell him trees were being felled and he couldn't go through, in the end i put my boot on the wheel of his scooter and told him to do 1! it went well
  17. I have found that going up and down trees all day, dragging brash, throwing log on the van, carrying concrete fence posts and digging holes keeps you pretty fit, and i get paid for it
  18. Ha ha, how **** has this country become! seriously! the harder you work the more they steal out of your pocket! now they are wanting more and more! whats next a breathing uk air tax? fart tax maybe
  19. We had a 2001 & a 3001 on both sides of the same tree today, easier than moving it around, i think its much easier than a floating one as u can throw wraps on and off with ease
  20. Cool looking wagon, get some more pics up.
  21. Do you mean the parts are expensive? I have being told they are pretty much the same as truck parts.
  22. If u don't know don't do it, I turn owt near leccy cables down as I am clueless, plenty more trees to work on.
  23. I have recently put deposit down for 150 grafter twin wheel, I never looked at the single wheel version.
  24. Extra pair of hands wanted for a large fencing job in Altofts near Wakefield, will be fetching, carrying helping to dig out, no experience necessary. Start asap... Contact Simon on 07977114605
  25. What he said...after a couple of goes you can hit anything.
