  1. No being rude but I don't think I could get away with pruning like that around here.
  2. How do you know the reason your not winning work is down to your pricing? I've come in higher than other firms before but have got the work because i turned up on time, was polite & sociable and gave the customer confidence that we were capable of taking on the job. I know a company around here who is more or less a 1 man band who is arrogant, miserable and has a reputation for cutting corners. He is slowly going under! Maybe its none of the above, time of year, look at how you approach a job and go from there.
  3. I paid £1260 that's including vat pto shaft & delivery It makes cutting up so easy, we cut everything into roughly 1m lengths on site, stack at yard then 1 splits into billets and the other cuts on saw bench. That seems a lot more productive than ringing everything up with chainsaw then splitting, obviously there is still gunna be big rings to bust up. Only weak link is picking sawn logs up again, if your doing mountains of log then i would deffo get conveyor.
  4. Snap, seems well built, really heavy, wish id of got the conveyor lol
  5. Which 1 you got?
  6. I have been told there is some adjuster springs that may need altering, failing that the tractor needs breaking!
  7. Finally took it for a spin today, saves loads of time & back ache! i have found out that the clutch is paggerd on the tractor pto though!
  8. Strange that because apparently they are both the same saw just different colours!
  9. I would never of worked that out last time i ran a pto was on a big john deere and was all digital. I see most saws run at 540, why is this 350? just geared differently?
  10. How do you work that out?
  11. Trying to understand this tachometer on my david brown 990, i can see where to set the engine revs for pto speed of 540 & 1000, but i need it to be set at 350 rpm
  12. They look great with the crane on.
  13. How much are they? who is the uk distributor? i can only find info on us sites.
  14. I have never seen these before, they look a really useful tool, what does something like that weigh?

    ps4

Never had a computer or games console when I was a kid, just treat myself to a ps4, 4 hours of my life has disappeared glued to this machine, they are so addictive!
  17. Hmm...Inonotus Hispidus, do they actually know that they will be ringing you shortly to remove it.
  18. It actually says Balfour in the Uniforest manual I ordered the saw yesterday at 11am and it was here at 2pm today Good service from Riko again, and a bloody good deal
  19. Ditto, I've slowly replaced second hand with new, I look after my stuff because I know its value, you cant say the same about used stuff.
  20. Ive got quotes for 2 dealers and they are both pretty much the same, but thats with no tipping body at all! how can it cost the same as 1 with a fully built tipping body! How much is the Nissan?
  21. How much is the cabstar? I have got a quote from Isuzu today of £17.680 + vat for the 120 £18.825 + vat for the 150
  22. You are best off ringing Riko direct as i dont think Stephen "spinner" is on here much, they were selling old Balfour stock off fairly cheap.
  23. How much you recon you put through before you have to sharpen / change the blade?
  24. So i ordered this today bargain at around £1200 with pto & delivery should be here next week.
  25. We had a tm 400, good machine, we bought straight from manufacturer, good to deal with. Only down side was sitter head was on the small side and liked to get stuck in bigger logs
