  1. This is my last weekend working, its easy to grab a handful of rubbish up to eat even though its not the best!
  2. I have being working 7 days for the last couple of months, the last week or so I am seriously lacking energy by dinner time! I eat breakfast dinner etc but find that eating mars bars and drinking Lucozade lasts all of 20 mins before I am knackered again! What do you eat to keep your energy levels up?
  3. Brash dragger wanted for Thursday 20th "this week" must be able to either get to Castleford or Wrenthorpe wakefeild, no experience required, but must be hard working safety conscious and have a respect for customers homes. Pm me on here.
  4. Been there, done that I wouldn't bother using the pump the old 1 probably isn't that good and new pumps aren't much better. Get a pto driven 1 then your not relying on the tractor hydraulics
  5. Somebody serviced an old tractor on the drive bit of oil ive been told if i dont sort it soon i will be seeping on it
  6. No its called harvest gold its not sharp or owt.
  7. Decided on a type of flint from build base, looks really good when its down, i don't wanna put any hard standing down as trying to keep the tarmac looking clean is a nightmare. That resin stuff looks good but driving 2 vans 2 chippers a tractor and 2 cars over it will cover it in bab in no time!
  8. Mite just bang it on top of the hardcore then.
  9. Half is tarmac with loads of hardcore under so i wanted to dig the garden out and throw the tarmac on that, then whack a load of crush down and gravel on top, probably would need some teram under to knock any weed down.
  10. Planning on pulling our old tarmac drive up and also the front lawn to use as additional parking, i am wanting to put some sort of gravel down, i did plan on using ground retention grid to stop tram lines with vehicles in and out until i saw how expensive it is. If i use a whacker plate on the sub base and compact it enough would this be enough to stop the gravel from being pressed into the ground
  11. Our local Sainsburys are the same, she wouldn't let me fill my Stihl combi can up because it was the wrong kind of can even though it was correctly labelled, also steel jerry can couldn't be filled up! but i could buy 1 of their shitty made in china plastic cans and fill that never been back since.
  12. You cut that down? looks bang on for what i need
  13. Is that a straight swap?
  14. Do Stihl make a mini powered pole pruner? i have seen them before but dont know where to get 1 from Got 2 huge conifer hedges to top, they are so wide i will struggle with top handle
  15. This thread has so much good advice
  16. Good idea, not sure if i would want it on a £1000 saw though
  17. I have looked relentlessly for over a year, expanded the area, knocked on doors, even offered 1 bloke twice the amount what he paid for a bit of land that's sat doing nothing and no joy its like people dont want the money in their pocket?
  18. Boots m8, the actual ground int bad its the walk down,
  19. I mean whats the going rate for a bit of land? no electric or water, just hard standing?
  20. I don't like renting, always feel like they've got u over a barrel, there is a few farms in pissing distance from where i live what i could enquire about, who will let me put a pole barn up store machines & logs fire etc
  21. Basically its green belt, not commercial usage so i am fU#*ed dont know what the financial impact is as of yet but its gunna be a lot more than the £100 a month ive been paying. Just think for all the time ive spend pratting about burning rubbish fixing machines to move logs and so on, is it worth it? there was someone on here that would take sweeping & chip and in return wanted all the log as payment, sounds a lot less hassle. Plus finding land to buy is impossible.
  22. I have been renting a bit of land for a few years now i pay peanuts for it, just found out that someone has blabed to the council that i am on there, ive put a few sheds up for logs etc and to be honest its great, i can tip off have a big fire etc. Now by the time ive paid rent, business rates and add up the cost of materials for the sheds, tractor forklift log splitters and the hassle that comes with it, is it really worth it? Who tips their arisings free on the understanding that all the log goes to the same place as payment? it seems a lot less hassle and would save money financially in the short term.
  23. Whats the payload difference between an isuzu & canter and say a Daf or iveco? Daf & Iveco look like bigger trucks or at least the tipper bed is higher.
  24. Ah not sure, i am 32 so didn't acquire grand father rights, did a test for a 32 tonne rigid then firm paid for 12 tonne towing vehicle & trailer
