I must admit my transit has earnt its keep, but in the last year 3 grand in repair bills just isnt acceptable! deffo going to look at the Grafter.
  4. You cant stop em can you! especially with cutting tackle like that! police must have an idea of who it is, pretty specialised stuff, not the usual scrote
  5. Did they gas axe their way into that site box?

    Isuzu Grafter

I like that they can tow 3.5t which could be useful on bigger jobs.
  8. My 04 transit has got to the point where it is costing too much to run! this morning the fuel pump has packed in and is sat broke down on my drive! It has being a good van but i wouldn't buy another, especially the new shape ones, i like the new Isuzu Grafter and have been to look at a new 1, what are they like to run?
  9. i have got some trees to dismantle that are as dead as a dodo, they have tpo's on them, How does the 5 day notice work? I have never removed 1 under that before.
  10. I quoted to take a huge Beech stump out last year, customer gave the job to another firm because "they were cheaper" they made a rite balls of it! did'nt even grind all of it out just covered it with spoil. Customer then paid us to do the job properly! moral of the story is you get what you pay for Stuff what everyone else is doing/ charging, do a good job and the work will follow.
  11. My TR6 had 4 hours on it when forst had to send an engineer out to replace the whole electronic control unit! to be fair they did get an engineer out the next day "all be it with the wrong parts"!
  12. Why do i get the feeling this is going to be a pita!
  13. No can do Johnny, if i bust this i am up **** creek! Plus i like to save the big hammer for the more delicate jobs
  14. I think a seal has perished on the front wheel drive shaft on my Kramer 512, the wheel, hub & final drive comes off so the shaft can be pulled out. i have got the wheel off but cant see how the kingpin is removed i assume their must be a special tool that goes over the studs and turns the round plate at the bottom to allow the kingpin to slide out???
  15. My Pfanner trousers are falling apart after less than 1 year! not worth their money!
  16. Sorted
  17. Trying to find somewhere that can weld some brackets on my loader buckets and forks, being let down by 1 firm and nobody else seems to want to do it! Anyone recommended somewhere or someone?
  18. Could damage occur to a building if tree roots were growing underneath and the tree was removed??? we have removed Lombardy Pops before because they were sucking moisture out of the clay causing it to contract which left a void under the building which led to cracks appearing along a wall. I have never known of damage further down the line due to removal though . I suppose if they were fairly substantial they would leave a void as they broke down??? creating unsupported footings? would not apply to something built on a raft though ???
  19. Throw all the brash onto the trampoline and bounce it into next doors

    No danger!

yeah probably...would you chance it next to your house.

    No danger!

This is the only photo i have, i could agree with what your saying if the la were committed to inspections on a regular cycle however i doubt this is happening as i know for a fact the la has 1 tree officer that is stretched so far he cannot keep up with work flow. Try telling a home owner to pay for any work on a tree that is not theirs is like pissing in the wind, its within falling distance of their house and they are worried about letting their young son in their garden incase it fails in an ideal world where money doesn't exist and the cost to retain such a tree is not an issue would be a great place to live, however down to its condition & location i am all up for removal.
  22. The tree is growing on the edge of a public footpath and overhangs a residential property, apparently the council have come out and said "its not in any imminent danger" but if they want that and another removed they will have to find a contractor to do it for them. Im i wrong in thinking that as it is on council land they should be responsible for managing their own trees? is this another case of the LA trying to save more money
  23. When i get some attachments its got a new pole barn to put up, Chip pile to move, all the ash from bonfire to move, new bonfire to push up, about 5 tonne of horse **** to move, a load of rotten crap wood to move and a load of ibcs to stack up under cover! all the jobs i have had to borrow a machine for in the past. maybe next year i will look for a tippler so i can tip ibcs into the van instead of handball
  24. They are decent machines, old but for what i want it for it wont be getting worked hard. plenty of scrappers around for parts.
  25. Same as every other thing i buy...too much! i am a tight arse though
