  4. The tree has several large Inonotus hispidus fruting backets on the tree has has declined since the last visit 2 years ago. The school/ Govening bodies have request and sent letter to the land owner (Who's child also goes to the school), to no avail.
  5. Hi All, Was wondering if anyone knew of any legislation or has dealt with an adjacent landowner to a school, that refuses to remove a tree that endangers children in the school, if it was to fail. Any help would be greatful
  6. That is the question. How would people manage this? Tree is located on a busy main road, however the branch with the main areas of the fungus is located on next to a field.
  7. Hi All, Woundering if anyone can help me? I found this fungus on a mature Horse Chestnut, and I am not sure what it is!. I have my susspions that it is Polyporus squamosus, but is old. reading discriptions of the fungus, it should be soft in texture. I need to make use i have the right fungus as the tree is located on a busy main road, in a conservation area and also has a TPO on it. Any help would be greatly recived. Haz

  12. What would people class as a Highways Tree. I have ask the Highways Department in which I work and everyone has a different answer. Is there a diffinative statement that would class a highways tree? Any help would be greatful
  13. Hi was on the Course in May. Was really good, but a good memory is defo needed and plenty of time to revise, as on my course day1 was so intense wasnt wanting to go back on the 2nd. I have attacheed the list, however they can throw in wild cards, and to be honest you neeed to know what they look like as some of the specimens they use can be old There is feeds on the forum, as that is where I got alot of my data from Well hope the list helps PTI Fungal Organisms List.pdf
  14. Hi All, I have had a smilar event happen in the lakes last week. The Oak tree shed a limb between 12.00pm and 01.00am. There is no signs of visable fungi, howerver is surroned by tarmac. We have had a couple of weeks of good weather, so thinking it could be sudden limb drop, but need more infomation before I put in the report. So any other Information would be handy Haz
