  1. Try Sam @ Wilson Plant 07880 733506 or 01256 701579 Grab lorry hire, site clearance, landscaping, recycled materials in Hampshire, Berkshire, Surrey, London ? Wilson Plant
  2. Spend your money on a Lockjack or even a Spiderjack if you feel brave!
  3. Just block their cars into their car park at the end of the day and demand payment before you'll able to move! I wouldn't dump anything on their site. Small claims court is something I'd do today if I was you. They can't put that action off unless they pay up, although they'd still have some time to pay.
  4. On a side issue... I thought the electric chainsaws weren't quieter than a petrol version?
  5. I had a break in too. Its the second time in a month and the police showed zero interest!

  7. It depends on what you want to achieve....Do you 'have' to go off road? Will you have a chipper? You either start small with a 4x4 pick up/tipper, Tranny, Mitsu, Iveco or go big with a Unimog, or tractor/trailer combo. All depends on budget versus requirement. Money usually decides everything in the end!

Great that the public are being made aware that tree surgery is potentially lethal! Too many pop out to try out their new toy with no idea. I keep getting broken in to, so could do with a few of these for them to take home and do some damage to themselves!
  9. Bushnell Trophy Cam 2011 - Camo at Uttings.co.uk This should do it...

Just for starters..... I'd have thought you'd need a new set of tyres, drive belts all round, a few hydraulics pipes if they've worn, change the hydraulic oil, the knives and the anvils might need a sharpen and you'll need plenty of oil and grease too. I'm not sure that infeed shute is HSE compliant. I'm no expert, but I think it needs to be harder than that to reach the rollers! Then the engine will need a service with new filters, new oils etc and hopefully you can get it going. If not then its expensive to sort that out or replace it with another suitable unit. ...oh and a new coat of paint if you're feeling flash! TP760's are bomb proof really and simple. I still wouldn't spend any money on anything that isn't HSE compliant as its too expensive to sort that out. Saying that I'd buy this for spares for mine! If the price was cheap enough of course! If you're going to use a chipper on a daily basis I'd point you in the direction of the TP200 on eBay being sold by Romsey Tree Surgeons. It might have finished, but I don't think it sold. That is a complete machine that you can take to work.

A T Osbourne is the right company for this... take it in and get a quote to get it working safely again.
  12. It looks to me like your Wellingtonia has Botryosphaeria dieback, which is why it has brown areas appearing across the tree. It is a fungus that effects many trees when they are under stress....Botryosphaeria fungi are typically opportunistic pathogens. Opportunistic pathogens only cause disease on plants that are stressed (frost, drought etc). Therefore, avoiding plant stress, which predisposes plant tissue to infection and colonization by this fungal group, is the best strategy to prevent Botryosphaeria disease problems. It is important to remember that under optimal growing conditions, trees and shrubs are typically able to resist infection and colonization by Botryosphaeria fungi. Basically, the tree needs lots of water, but obviously that is not so practical to arrange!
  13. You can get a couple of very big leaves of 1 - 1.5m on a Paulownia tomentosa if you cut off all the leaves bar two. The tree focuses its growth on these two and they get pretty big. No pictures sadly.

I think this part is made from a magnesium / aluminium alloy that is too weak to start with, but when fired in the stihl factory oven becomes strong enough to use in the saw engine etc. Interesting that you've had a couple of failures of this bit. I don't think I'd ever carry a spare crank with me! Glad you got it fixed.
  15. Don't take the pallets apart. Bang in posts and slide the pallets onto them. Simples... ....not so sure about the roof if you get that far.
  16. I'll take these. Call me on 07971 374345. Richard
  17. I took the tip of my thumb off with my Silky, but it heals fast enough!
  18. Looks like Willow to me...
  19. I used the RAC the other day and they were very quick. They just couldn't fix the problem that my mechanic was able to sort in 2 mins..
  20. In Japan they sometimes use a silky and a compacting bin lorry, as its quieter than a chipper and chainsaw.
  21. Get the RIKO A11V and you'll never need to worry about this again. Riko UK :: Domestic Their customer service has been great with me. Very impressed!
