  1. It is frustrating to feel like the police are not bothered about thefts but telling them there is a firearm involve when you know there isn't might be a risky plan.
  2. Agreed. Tipping or drop bottom skips are really handy to have around the yard but way too pricey for logs. Even trying to put together sockets (I was calling them sleeves) is expensive. Box section steel in the right size was £16 a metre.
  3. Let us know if it comes up for sale.
  4. £4k plus VAT with the trailer.
  5. Pricey but that looks like the it's does an awesome job.
  6. Keep us posted. If there is a decent deal on it I'd be interested in one with a bucket grapple, forks and an auger for planting.
  7. That would seem to be in line with the alternatives (larger vermeer or ditchwitch). You are also into the mid wheel loaders territory - multione 7+ etc.
  8. I assume the big 950hd comes in around £30-32k for the base unit?
  9. Sure, anything on the road would need this but not to own or operate in your own yard. Can't see many people using a forklift on the road - must be painfully slow and I would presume you have to remove or put something over the forks. A JCB 926 et al would be a handful on a public road.
  10. You should be able to have a Loler cert done for £150 odd.
  11. Must be a wind up. There are no rules on owning a forklift. No V5, no tax, no MOT. It's a plant machine like any other. If you have employees using it or are perhaps using it in the public sphere then an annual Loler test to demonstrate it is safe would be a good idea. You could do the relevant course to show you can use it safely but again - an idea not a requirement.
  12. Ms150 with a 10" and ms660 with a 25". Covers most situations. Sorry to derail - anyone use the msa 160t (battery top handle)? Any good?
  13. Necessity breeds innovation.
  14. +1 . These guys were fast and easy to use when i bought some dropsides earlier in the year.
  15. What's the make and model? Looks good.
  16. I just 'copy and paste' my 'documents' folder to the external drives. It should contain outlook files as well so you can restore these. Could be a large transfer (mine is about 25GB currently) but you can just set it in motion and leave it. Might be a better way of doing it but seems to have worked for me so far. Buy a couple of 64GB flash drives and you should be ok.
  17. I am only a small business but get 3 or 4 of these a day and have for years. Usually unpaid invoice, bill, utility, etc and please open the attached .pdf or .doc . My email must have got onto some spam list somewhere. It's hard because I've had emails like this from known contacts. It's only the wording that has made me think this isn't right and not open it. It seems they can make an email address look like someone else's. I assume they infiltrate someone's email account them email everyone on it with the virus email. It's easy to forget by back up, back up, back up. Every Sunday evening I copy all company files onto a flash drive and an external hdd. Only takes a few mins to set it running - you just have to remember to do it regularly.
  18. I think they tells me enough. Appreciate the review.
  19. Sounds simple enough. From the looks of it you could just slide under the back and attach a 12v tyre inflator and inflate. You could drive to site without them inflated then spend a few minutes inflating at the end of the day before you head back to base.
  20. Do these do these air suspension kits for a transit T350? Would be well handy. Google isn't turning up much.
  21. Do these replace the leaf springs on the rear or go in with them?
  22. I think this is absolute the case. You own the property and rent it to the business, preferably a LTD. I wouldn't like the risk that you could lose the lot if something terrible happened in the business.
