  1. I click on you and it goes to your profile. I click on message. The message page doesn't not show up your name as I would expect it should. Then anything I click crashes the app.
  2. Yes, latest version it seems. Can't PM at all from the app. Samsung s5.
  3. Build some ally plank sides yourself and put on a 1/3 roof and you are away. £350-400 and looks good. Rivet gun and some bolts are you are away.
  4. I can't send PM on the app (android). I couldn't search for the website feedback forum. The app crashes every time.
  5. Can I ask why you want to sell a transit tipper for a 4x4 tipper? Do you find you are offroad the majority of your work time? I have 4x4 pickups and transit tippers and for everyday tree work the transit wins hands down. The pickup is the easier to use tow vehicle and with BFG mud terrains it can get most places - but if you filled it with chip and put a chipper behind it you are going to be making a mess of the site you are working on. I'd suggest a single cab standard pickup to run alongside a transit tipper would be the way forward.
  6. I'll send you a PM, I have an 18 month old tipper I was possibly looking at selling.
  7. I like that. Smart looking tipper body.
  8. How much will it cost you to do? That plus your desired profit margin. Don't worry about others prices IMHO.
  9. I was just going to suggest that. We have lots of infected woodlands in London amd I've seen some of the guys with a rash similar to this. Seriously itchy I am told.
  10. It will improve drying time but not by enough to make it worthwhile. As has been said, heat and airflow is what you need. Insulate your shed, stick a oil filled electric radiator in there and a domestic heat exchanger unit. Or just air dry and be patient!
  11. Interesting to know. I do some land drainage and water pipe work so differs from your set up.
  12. Sorry. No toe treading intended! I'd be on it if I come out of arb though.
  13. Recipe for disaster in my opinion. £100 a day is very reasonable for chipper hire. If you want to provide a chipper, tipper and labour for anywhere near that you are going to end up making a pittance. Work out the actual cost of you making minimum wage is, plus the running and maintenance cost of the chipper, plus the running, maintenance, insuring and taxing the tipper, plus any business admin costs. Consider the depreciation of your assets/investment. Ask yourself then if it is worth it? If you want to make money you need to offer a more unique service. Hire, with operator, something not widely available locally. Sell a skilled service not an unskilled one. If my budget was £15k and I wanted to make a decent return I'd be lookin outside of arb. Get yourself a burger van, get a drain jetting unit, get a decent car and a PCO license, get a narrow access mini digger and muck truck. I can think of a dozen things that would be more profitable and likely to succeed.
  14. Anythings possible. Worthwhile is a different question. For me the largest factor would be wear and tear on your body. I find it harder to recover as I get older. It's a strenuous job and easy to pick up stresses/strains.
  15. I have a t350 tipper insured with Aviva as well. When I had a claim (albeit not a tipper) they were easy to deal with and paid out quickly.
  16. If its a sudden stop its got to be something in it. Wire, nail, etc.
  17. With insurance you need to declare fully. If you say its a panel van and it isn't then you give them a way out in the event of a claim. Shop around, someone will take your money.
  18. I'm considering selling my AGT 835 forestry tractor. It just isn't getting the use we intended for it. I am wondering a fair price to ask for it? AGT 835 37hp tractor. Articulated steer. Full factory forestry guarding. Only a year old and less than 100 hours. We'll looked after and grest condition. Only defect is front grill got pushed in slightly by a branch (cosmetic only). Bought direct from Riko. I was going to include the ifor lm126 flatbed trailer we use for it as it's ideally suited. http://www.riko-uk.com/product/65/405 £17k + VAT new (probably worse the way the euro to pound is going!). Any suggestions?
  19. Talking of training (I appreciate not very positively!) Does anyone have a recommendation for an NPORS <10t 360 provider in Oxford/bucks/berks/Surrey?
  20. We use the term 'shred' for when is mainly leaf. For example we run all our basal and epicormic pruning through a chipper or shredder and what you get is 'shred'.
  21. Moles valley farmers? They sell it. It seems pretty hard to source.
  22. Agreed. Wrist breakers, I'd avoid as much as possible.
  23. No, it isn't. It looks a bit elm like to me.
  24. Its not the question you asked but the answer is : transit tipper and road tow chipper. Pickup with tipping trailer to back this up.
  25. I've been buying from Steve for a couple of years and would recommend his kindling. Very neat packed and quality stuff.
