  1. Must be a wind up. There are no rules on owning a forklift. No V5, no tax, no MOT. It's a plant machine like any other. If you have employees using it or are perhaps using it in the public sphere then an annual Loler test to demonstrate it is safe would be a good idea. You could do the relevant course to show you can use it safely but again - an idea not a requirement.
  2. Ms150 with a 10" and ms660 with a 25". Covers most situations. Sorry to derail - anyone use the msa 160t (battery top handle)? Any good?
  3. Necessity breeds innovation.
  4. +1 . These guys were fast and easy to use when i bought some dropsides earlier in the year.
  5. What's the make and model? Looks good.
  6. I just 'copy and paste' my 'documents' folder to the external drives. It should contain outlook files as well so you can restore these. Could be a large transfer (mine is about 25GB currently) but you can just set it in motion and leave it. Might be a better way of doing it but seems to have worked for me so far. Buy a couple of 64GB flash drives and you should be ok.
  7. I am only a small business but get 3 or 4 of these a day and have for years. Usually unpaid invoice, bill, utility, etc and please open the attached .pdf or .doc . My email must have got onto some spam list somewhere. It's hard because I've had emails like this from known contacts. It's only the wording that has made me think this isn't right and not open it. It seems they can make an email address look like someone else's. I assume they infiltrate someone's email account them email everyone on it with the virus email. It's easy to forget by back up, back up, back up. Every Sunday evening I copy all company files onto a flash drive and an external hdd. Only takes a few mins to set it running - you just have to remember to do it regularly.
  8. I think they tells me enough. Appreciate the review.
  9. Sounds simple enough. From the looks of it you could just slide under the back and attach a 12v tyre inflator and inflate. You could drive to site without them inflated then spend a few minutes inflating at the end of the day before you head back to base.
  10. Do these do these air suspension kits for a transit T350? Would be well handy. Google isn't turning up much.
  11. Do these replace the leaf springs on the rear or go in with them?
  12. I think this is absolute the case. You own the property and rent it to the business, preferably a LTD. I wouldn't like the risk that you could lose the lot if something terrible happened in the business.
  13. Thanks. I have a mini with quite a few attachments so I'm covered on that front. It is the loading runs back and forth to a trailer etc that I am looking to improve. The kangas are relatively cheap compared to the competition and more available second hand. I feel they maybe cheaper for a reason though. Their lift capacity seems to be well behind their peers.
  14. I was talking to someone about this last week. Something that escaped me was the right terminology for the stem being allowed room to sway - I am sure I knew of a technical term for it but can't remember! I may have imagined it. One of my pet hates is a wooden cross bar with the stem rigidly strapped. In some high traffic settings I suppose its necessary but trees really benefit from some stem movement.
  15. Bit of a thread revival - anyone had any experience of the larger kanga machines for arb/landscaping work?
  16. 'Deadline' passed - assume it'll be a post election announcement now. Be interesting to see what they come out with.
  17. Nice bit of DIY engineering. You could mount that in the back of a single cab pickup and get to most locations.
  18. Terrible. I was conversing with him about skidsteer loaders a week or so back. Sad news.
  19. Worth checking with Ifor. I had inadvertently bought a stolen ifor via ebay a few years ago via ebay. I checked out the owner best I could and spoke to the guy he bought it off. The trailer had been stolen from a dealer in Wales 14 years before! It had been through 6 owners since then according to the police. Second hand, cheap trailers are always going to be a bit risky from this perspective in.my opinion.

You pray they didn't actually take that on yhe public highway and it's just around site.
  21. Indeed! The weight distribution would appear to be way out. Looks like he got away with it though damage wise. When I was a passenger in a 'snake' we were pulled onto a gravel/soft verge and flipped. Now that was a brown pants moment!
  22. I believe France as well. King cab or single cab only.
  23. What's your day rate? Looks like a handy set up.
  24. Ha! Get them whole you can. I am sure double cab pickups will be clamped down before too long. Hard to justify VAT reclaim/tax write off on essentially a luxury 4wd.
  25. It's might as well have tax dodge written on the side! I'll be amazed if I ever see one with a tow bar.
