  1. Just make sure you have all the relevant evidence at your fingertips if it actually goes to court. The most important thing you will need to prove is the previous pattern of doing business, ie the maintenance man being your point of contact and his authorising previous work. Remember that you are in a civil court and so you only need to prove your case on the balance of probability rather than beyond all reasonable doubt as in a criminal case. If it goes to court, don't try to be Rumpole of the Bailey but do make sure you are well organised and respectful to the court. Good luck!
  2. Very true, Johny. Very important to remember to add on your reasonable expenses to the original debt.
  3. If the maintenance guy was who you usually dealt with, it was perfectly reasonable for you to assume the contract was authorised. In addition, the duty manager reconfirmed the contract by allowing you to perform the job(known as acceptance by course of conduct). I would go down the Small Claims route with a decent expectation of success.
  4. No, it's from not using Aspen.
  5. That one may have been mine.
  6. I use one when I'm chipping London Plane or ringing up a lot of timber on the log pile. Seems to keep a lot of crap out of my nose.
  7. Blimey, you've had some messy visitors there.
  8. So many people have helped me on here so in no particular order: Geoff, Arbogrunt, TVI, Mark Bolam, Mick Stockbridge, Stevie Blair, Basil, Spud, Andy Collins, Steve Bullman, Biggarlogs, Swinny, Tony Croft, David Humphreys and many more.
  9. I can't honestly recommend the pleasure of cutting one up.
  10. Did you treat them to a large dustpan and brush to deal with the Ash that had the slight argument with a stump?
  11. You certainly made them graft this weekend.
  12. Should have been quicker. I'd already eaten the Swan and Osprey pasty from Prince Phillip.
  13. It's the only stuff that really works, not like that girly Polonium crap. Bloody Nanny State!
  14. Thanks, Graham. Cheques in the post.
  15. Filthy beast! Punjana here, Stubby.
  16. Pleasure was all mine, Graham. I'm looking forward to the next round. I was so busy making sure I didn't either get the pole saw stuck or cop a faceful of tear out that I didn't realise you were taking pics.
  17. Bolle Trackers
  18. They are available as Bird is a bit small for them. I only want what I paid for them on Ebay so would do them for £40 posted to you. There are a couple of minor repairs but nothing major.
  19. Used it the other day on my KM 85 and seemed to work ok. Was a bit grabby and needed tightening up a fair bit after the first couple of cuts but other than that was fine.
  20. Got it on there already. Love seeing the old Letterbocks posts.
  21. Sorry mate, they're Type A.
  22. I think it does but I haven't bought it for years. Couldn't beat Paul Whicker the tall vicar or Professor Piehead.
  23. You and me both, mate.
