  1. Tread carefully on that one. You have to be able to prove anything you claim. There is a peculiarity in UK Defamation legislation in that it is for the accused to prove their claim, not the person bringing the suit who needs to prove the accused's claim to be false. It's why we see so many overseas cases brought here.
  2. She might be able to win a limited victory by ensuring that the alley at least, as it is shared, remains unobstructed by either party.
  3. The free house/ tied pub should be evident with any branding or trademarks from a chain, such as menus, offers etc. The plate over the door may help also. If not, the local licensing authority should be able to help, or a Google search. With regards to the falling out, she can either put up with the rubbish for the sake of a quiet although unhappy life or take the chance on the outcome of getting it sorted. No easy answer on that one, I'm afraid.
  4. Environmental Health first, then local papers/tv if EH don't get it sorted. If it's a tied pub rather than a free house. the brewery or chain that owns it may be worth talking to as well.
  5. Paul's way too clean eating for that crap LOL
  6. He sometimes crops up on Facebook. He seems happy enough and is often with his son and his family. He was talking about a new project or undertaking but I don't know what it is. Very much a gym bunny so may be something to do with that.
  7. Andy Collins and Geoff are also not about on here these days. I know Geoff is fine as I bumped into him and his lady friend in Does just before Christmas. Hope Andy is well too.
  8. Just keep the lights off and blag it.
  9. That's good to hear.
  10. But what if they breed?
  11. I'm ashamed that it has any connection with Essex.
  12. Ace winches are good and cheaper than Tirfors. I have the 1600kg which I got a few years ago and it has never let me down, even on some heavy pulls.
  13. It's a catalogue of vacuous, orange-sprayed tarts of both genders, many featuring surprised-looking eyebrows. See also Made in Chelsea which also includes chinless wonders and 'OK Yar' accents.
  14. No worries. Like I say, I'm no expert but I'm pretty sure that copper washers deform on tightening so they are only single use and will need replacing ASAP.
  15. I'm not a diesel expert but, if your engine is like the CAT unit in my Trooper, the missing washer will allow diesel into the lubricant leading to the engine running on the engine oil and over-revving to destruction. Watch out for a rising engine oil level if you keep running it like this.
  16. Sounds nasty. My splitter can only be used with 2 hands on the controls which isn't the most convenient but is a lot safer, given that other members of the family use it as well as me. Hope your bloke makes a full recovery.
  17. Just ordered a Harkie from Gustharts as they had them nearly half price in my size (Marque F).
  18. Are you planning to use your existing employees as your new ground team? If so, they will need training on the relevant tools(assuming they aren't already qualified) and their experience will be at the same level as yours which could lead to difficulties.
  19. Have a look at Forest Friends on Facebook to see what else he gets up to.
  20. I'm not even going to ask how you managed to stumble across that image.
  21. You and me both.
  22. Surely this is TVI's area of expertise?
  23. Like so much of the job, communication is key.
  24. The barrow sacks I have are around 200 litres so 0.2 of a cubic metre and the bulk bags I have are about 0.6 of a cubic metre. Trouble is that the bulk/builders bags can vary.
  25. Don't mention it. Oh, that's right, you didn't.
