  1. Sorry David, priority was clearing up so we could get the mower around. Weather was hot and still as it has been all of the last 2 weeks. As to time of day, no idea as were found rather than witnessed.
  2. Had 2 fairly hefty limbs drop from 2 separate Ash trees in the last fortnight. Both trees are immediately next to a lake, both have a history of Inonotus and 1 had been the subject of work at the end of last year to shorten some un-balanced limbs.
  3. You've probably already looked but I had one like this and it turned out to be a burr on the eyelet thingy where the cord comes out of the recoil cover, if that makes sense?
  4. 1 ticket for the Saturday legislation/Best practice if I may. Just tried to book via the link and it won't let me.
  5. 2 large Ashes, both next to water and both with history of Inonotus.
  6. I'll get an order in on Monday to collect at the show.
  7. This one's an Abbot. Drove one of them on my 40th.
  8. Will you be down here for Jonesie's show?
  9. Good luck with it all, Silky.
  10. Sorry to hear that, Stevie. Thinking of you all, mate.
  11. Read what he said then take your own advice. I don't see anything there that deserves a snotty response like yours.
  12. Many a true word spoke in jest.
  13. Littletree would be the one to ask. I believe she does a fair bit of that sort of work.
  14. My guess would be that they don't tend to hang around that long.
  15. I wasn't sure if it would be seen as the member of the public acting ultra vires. Surely, being the UK, 5 minutes tutting and a strongly worded letter to the local paper would be the correct response.
  16. Welcome to the British Legal system, Dan.
  17. I freely admit that I'm only guessing and that Andy is probably right.
  18. I thought that there could be possible Criminal Damage implications if a member of the public 'did it themself'.
  19. My guess (and it is only a guess) is that it would be for the L.A to approach the land owner to get the land owner to cut back the vegetation. If the land owner won't do it, the L.A would do the work then probably bill the land owner.
  20. Were you doing your tribute to 'French Lieutenant's Woman' on the Cobh, Jon?
  21. Only if we have a mankini ban.
  22. So you'll be doing dinner on the Friday night then?
  23. Don't worry, it was actually nothing than couldn't be sorted out with some wet wipes and a 60 degree wash in Persil.
  24. One big thing you need is a list of contacts with enough names on it to give 3 or 4 days work a week, every week. If you don't have this, look for employment rather than subbing and slowly build up your experience and contacts. Good luck, fella.

If you would like to contribute to making this industry more effective and safe then welcome.
Just like a living tree, it'll always be a work in progress.
