  1. Got both sorts made by Bulldog. Seem to be good.
  2. Any comments on Monkey Shoulder? Was given a bottle a while back and forgot all about it until I found it in the cupboard yesterday.
  3. When I subbied to one particular firm, they had a bloke working for them that everybody knew as 'Idiot Boy', or 'Lazy Pete'. His phone use was so bad that in the end when he skived off to answer phone calls or texts, I just used to stop work and stare at him until he got the message. Mind you, some of his chat on the phone was hilarious, like a chavvy version of Mills and Boon; 'Babe, I luv ya more than life itself' as he was picking his nose:lol:
  4. No, they're waiting for the bloke with the Stihl 261 to replace another melted bearing and catch up.
  5. Got me there. I haven't looked yet.
  6. I put a new chain brake on an old Husky 41 yesterday. I used a metal plate to hold the spring in place (nothing new there, saw it on Youtube) and a slotted screwdriver head from Screwfix to push the tab onto the brake off position. The slotted head was in a pack of heads for security screws(about £5) which I had bought for the Torx heads with the cut out. While on the subject of the Husqvarna 41, can anybody tell me the mixture settings for this saw please?
  7. Husky New Balance.
  8. Got one of them in my ammo tin, right next to the sonic screwdriver.
  9. Or possibly lynched with 35m of Yale.
  10. Bet that will be a great atmosphere.
  11. I don't see your dilemma? He has over stepped the mark and you won't have any comeback if you 'no longer require his services'.
  12. On the books or self employed, and is log splitting the sort of work you do for people?
  13. White one is an immature Ganoderma australe, I think.
  14. Broke Back Chip-pile.
  15. I am assuming you are employed rather than self-employed.The not passing on company information part is fair enough. The other part about not doing work for their customers, assuming it is after you have left the company, is a restraint of trade and as such is prima facie void. In other words, it is up to them to prove it is reasonable( yes, it's that word again! ) and if there are not sensible terms to define it, it won't be worth the paper it's written on. Of course, if you have taken a client list with you and actively touted for business then the courts probably wouldn't look kindly upon you but if they have approached you then business is business.
  16. They don't seem to do anything for the combi unit ( TBC 2501 SF) that we have.
  17. Thanks, will have a look at that after a cuppa.
  18. Fixed spool reels are a lot easier to use but, if you have time to practise with them, multipliers will give you better distance. Best avoided if you don't have the patience to undo a lot of bird's nests though.
  19. Cheers mate! I've just got the HS 81 hedgetrimmer running but need to bring down the idle speed. I've set the mixture screws as per the info on the air filter cover but its a pig to set the idle on. Probably something I've done when I put it back together.
  20. Got the 232R Husqvarna strimmer I picked up at Jonesie's show( Thanks Tractor62, Eggs and Wolfie ) so going to give it a good clean up. Already got a new air filter on order as the old one disintegrated when girlfriend's dad gave it a wash in petrol . Going to get the carb stripped out and cleaned so can anybody tell me the settings for the high and low screws, please?
  21. How much are you paying them to cut down their tree? That wood is very valuable, you know!
  22. How much will you charge me to cut my neighbour's tree down? He said it was alright, honest!
  23. Coronet cuts. I'm not a great photographer, I'm afraid.
