  1. Or possibly lynched with 35m of Yale.
  2. Bet that will be a great atmosphere.
  3. I don't see your dilemma? He has over stepped the mark and you won't have any comeback if you 'no longer require his services'.
  4. On the books or self employed, and is log splitting the sort of work you do for people?
  5. White one is an immature Ganoderma australe, I think.
  6. Broke Back Chip-pile.
  7. I am assuming you are employed rather than self-employed.The not passing on company information part is fair enough. The other part about not doing work for their customers, assuming it is after you have left the company, is a restraint of trade and as such is prima facie void. In other words, it is up to them to prove it is reasonable( yes, it's that word again! ) and if there are not sensible terms to define it, it won't be worth the paper it's written on. Of course, if you have taken a client list with you and actively touted for business then the courts probably wouldn't look kindly upon you but if they have approached you then business is business.
  8. They don't seem to do anything for the combi unit ( TBC 2501 SF) that we have.
  9. Thanks, will have a look at that after a cuppa.
  10. Fixed spool reels are a lot easier to use but, if you have time to practise with them, multipliers will give you better distance. Best avoided if you don't have the patience to undo a lot of bird's nests though.
  11. Cheers mate! I've just got the HS 81 hedgetrimmer running but need to bring down the idle speed. I've set the mixture screws as per the info on the air filter cover but its a pig to set the idle on. Probably something I've done when I put it back together.
  12. Got the 232R Husqvarna strimmer I picked up at Jonesie's show( Thanks Tractor62, Eggs and Wolfie ) so going to give it a good clean up. Already got a new air filter on order as the old one disintegrated when girlfriend's dad gave it a wash in petrol . Going to get the carb stripped out and cleaned so can anybody tell me the settings for the high and low screws, please?
  13. How much are you paying them to cut down their tree? That wood is very valuable, you know!
  14. How much will you charge me to cut my neighbour's tree down? He said it was alright, honest!
  15. Coronet cuts. I'm not a great photographer, I'm afraid.
  16. I have a couple of dodgy old gits that I can call on.
  17. I am an estate manager for a Sunday Times Rich Lister and directly employed by his company. I have regular meetings to discuss matters on that estate, as well as property his company owns elsewhere. This is common sense, as it means he is fully aware of what is going on. Fortunately, a situation like this would not arise in our case as, not only am I obsessive about checking for TPOs etc, he and his family are very much into enjoying the wildlife on the estate so my remit is to encourage nature rather than trash it.
  18. Forest and Arb are very good.
  19. I'd feel like a bit of a plum for not doing my own checking.
  20. No, I was careful to only take one bit off at a time. By the way, I haven't forgotten the paperwork I'm sending you.
  21. Cheers, mate. Will have a look on Monday when I'm back in. Maybe a little grease will help it. Other than that hiccup, it all seems to be going back together ok.
  22. I knew your suggestion would bite you on the bum . When I went to replace a mixture screw after flushing it out with carb cleaner, it went in a couple of turns then felt like it went solid. I didn't want to turn it any further as it felt like it would cause damage. Any suggestions, Rich?
  23. Already got a very similar one, thanks. His only defence to that would be if they were sub-contractors, not employees.
  24. If they are his employees, it's up to him to know what they are doing.
  25. Agreed. Money alone is no real deterrent when somebody is well-able to afford it. A punishment needs to be something sufficiently off-putting which will actually impact upon them personally.
