  1. Get stuck into the cider then, mate.
  2. Rainy since 5am and much cooler than yesterday. Typical Bank Holiday weather, rescheduled visit to Military Odyssey for tomorrow.
  3. Reminds me of the story about the constipated mathematician who had to work it out with a pencil.
  4. They look great, David. Number 5 looks like the sort of thing we are thinking of but I will show them 1 and 2 to see if I get a bite.
  5. That's a possible.
  6. Have you got a thread title please, David?
  7. We've been clearing some neglected woodland recently with the aim of allowing the owner and his family to enjoy more of the estate. We will be creating a bit of a clearing where we are taking out some unsafe trees etc and are considering creating a bit of a play area for the owners' grandkids ( infant/junior school age). I wondered if anybody on the forum has done anything similar before and what you found that did or didn't work. There is already a normal playground with swings, trampoline etc near the main house so we were thinking of something more unusual. Unfortunately, where the wood was so densely packed, there are no suitable branches for hanging tyre swings etc. All sensible suggestions gratefully received.
  8. What are your spacings between trees and what sort of finish do you want? We have a similar sounding orchard here where we just mow paths with an Iseki ride-on mower and leave the rest to it. Must be pretty sound as this year we had a swarm of bees colonise a hive which had been empty for the 2 years previous.
  9. Thanks guys. All sorted.
  10. Can anybody point me in the right direction to buy a couple of clean 1000 litre IBCs near Brentwood in Essex please? I need a couple to cobble together a watering wagon for the estate. Cheers!
  11. Husky Low Smoke?
  12. Try to fence it with brash rather than pile on top or you will encourage dormice etc which will eat the new shoots IIRC .
  13. Apart from the obvious.
  14. They'll only do it face to face.
  15. Bump!! Any more suggestions, chaps?
  16. Are you trying to say it might have been you?
  17. Phew, I thought you were missing Mrs Silky Fox a bit too much.
  18. Do you mean the Bangkok Ladyboys, Silky?
  19. Having used both Husqvarna 236 and Husqvarna 135, I would recommend you go for the 135 instead. My partner's dad picked a 135 up from Forest and Arb for about £150 and raves about it, having had Ryobi and Homelite before.
  20. Oh, I don't know, Matty. Can make for an amusing day with a nervous climber.
  21. Own a Mazda B2500 with a Truckman top which lives at the in-laws, have an Isuzu Rodeo as a company car.
  22. Buy a new, unissued Royal Navy Goretex jacket. Vastly better than a knackered old Army one.
  23. Even I can't strim 20ft up the flipping thing, mate!
  24. There are many families where several generations have never worked so have never paid any National Insurance. Whose money are they getting?
