1. The original Alec Guiness Ealing The Lady Killers or the best ever Vampire film, Nosferatu starring Max Schreck.
2. Now I have your attention, I have a project planned on the estate lake which I need some advice on. I want to rig up some aeration for the fish and the way I have sold it to the owner is to make it in the form of a fountain for visual effect. What I need to know is what sort of flow rate pump will I need to give me a decent height(2m-ish) jet of water?
3. Bump! Good to see Geoff yesterday with a load needing a home. Tip site for clean chip still available to any ArbTalkers working in the area.
4. Would that be the same dealer where he buys replacement bars, chains and 2-stroke oil on a surprisingly regular basis?
5. You've been warned about having a fiddle before.
6. Somewhere in your dreams?
7. That's you right off my Xmas card list, matey.
8. I found Arbtalk when I was a free-lance groundie and it was invaluable for making new contacts etc. Now I'm an estate manager, it is a great source of information as well as a good way to keep in contact with the industry and friends I have made on here. It's also the perfect way to keep an eye on Geoff; I know if he is still posting then he hasn't come a cropper on his Zimmer frame.
9. Especially if the neighbour is a farmer.
10. Do you know for definite that there is a TPO on this tree?
11. Difficult if not impossible to guess when it will fail. As for responsibility, do your deeds say who is responsible for that boundary?
12. Another one for Meripilus here. Not looking good for that one, I'm afraid.
13. Have a look at the Forestry Commission site. Great surroundings and cabins but a bit pricey though.
14. I got a 357, never been used and still in the box, for £350 a couple of years ago.
15. Thanks Sam. They are literally our next door neighbours!
16. I have a large area of topsoil (2 verges between 2m and 4m wide by around 700m long) which I need to seed when the weather is a bit cooler. Can anybody recommend where in Essex or nearby I can hire something to go behind a quad or tractor to sow the grass seed as, not surprisingly, I don't fancy doing it all on foot?
17. As with so many things on here concerning humour, it has to be Mr Bolam's.
18. It's ok, I wasn't planning on bidding on that really.
19. I believe whether or not it is your birthday has some bearing on it as well.
20. Always a dilemma, Josh.
21. I wouldn't be 100% sure of that, given some recent discussions on here.
22. The vote of inaction against Hitler was unavoidable due to the chronic underspending on defence in the 1930s. Britain was in no way ready to stand-up to Hitler before 1939, and in fact was barely able then either.
23. Had exactly the same recently with a willow ( bark detached first followed now by crown dying off) but that is in the middle of a private estate so poisoning unlikely. Might be best to not jump to conclusions straight away, although arsey neighbours are well worth suspecting.
24.
Good thanks, Steve. Things good with Nigel?
