  1. SWMBO has just put the kettle on.
  2. Ah, could be. It is Sunday morning after all.
  3. Surely towing a cube of logs, which weighs roughly 750kg itself, would put you over the 750kg limit when you add on the weight of the trailer itself?
  4. Had a similar problem with staining from brash on a render wall from a groundie being careless. Managed to shift it with a paste of biological washing powder applied and kept moist to allow it to work, followed by a good scrubbing. This was only from copper plum leaves might it could be worth a try. Good luck with it!
  5. What are they plated for and will I need an O licence?
  6. Where's Mendi's pac a mac? Nice coal-scuttle lid, btw.
  7. There is a search button to help you find the many threads on the subject or you can have a look at the site sponsors on the right hand side of the page. Happy hunting!
  8. I used to enjoy watching grass snakes hunting frogs and toads in my parents pond when I was a kid, and I was forever disturbing slow worms when I was looking for redworms to use for bait from the compost heap. I think kids who never see stuff like that really miss out, regardless of how many I-phones and X-boxes they have.
  9. Go careful when you disturb it then. They may well be laying eggs in there due to the heat.
  10. Keep your eyes open for recreational or 'reccy' climbs on here in your area. The people on here are a friendly bunch and you will probably be offered the chance to have a go for yourself without spending out on your own kit before you know if climbing is for you.
  11. I've got to decide just how involved I want to get with it. Already ordered a new Husky strimmer from Jonesie to replace it, so down to whether or not it is worth repairing as an extra. The repair will be beyond me so will be getting farmed out.
  12. Looks like some good kit there. As a heads up, he has a back-handle MS200 if anyone is looking for one.
  13. Cheers for the advice.
  14. It's only to the naked eye, but it doesn't look bent at all. Only a thorough check will tell, I suppose.
  15. Same cemetery in Southend had it last year too.
  16. My cup runneth over.
  17. Update on the FS90; it doesn't look pretty.
  18. Luckily I have a decent dealer within half a day's driving.
  19. FS 90 strimmer has dropped a valve and mullered the piston top. Will need a new piston and valve but the rect seems ok. Worth fixing?
  20. That sounds like the voice of bitter experience?
  21. Mark, I saw an ad down your way once in a local lifestyle sort of magazine which offered 5 silver birch logs tied together with a bit of ribbon for the bargain price of just £19!
  22. What were you looking for to find that?
  23. But only to a certain degree, and if the 'visitor' is actually a trespasser then that threshold is lower. In other words, somebody visiting to drop off a take-away leaflet ( a bona fide visitor unless you have a sign prohibiting such activity clearly visible at the point of entry to your property) is owed a higher duty of care than somebody who is trespassing. If that visitor then takes the opportunity to do something outside their remit, eg poking around, then their visit is considered to be a trespass from the moment they set foot on your property (ab initio) and the duty of care level is applied as such. Most of the time when you get stories about burglars who sue their victims for damages, it usually pans out that the victim has set a trap or just left property to rack and ruin. Still, it's all good fodder for the Daily Mail.
  24. Still friendlier than the Sick Boy approach though, David.
