  1. Just another
  2. I must say that I find it very interesting how some of your posts are almost perfectly spelt whereas others are rather over-done in the bad spelling and grammar. How does that work then? Is it difficult to stay in character all the time?
  3. Shut the door behind you.
  4. I never knew you were an Everley Brothers fan; 'Dream, dream, dream, Dream, dream, dream, Dream, dream, dream'
  5. My guess would be that you are meant to ring the phone number.
  6. Nice lunge as well, mate.
  7. Check the dates of the other posts, mate. Sorry to hear about your chipper.
  8. How long had the mix that faded been made up? I don't tend to use it after about 2 weeks has passed, which tbh is very rare.
  9. How much are you talking, and what wagon will you be bringing it in on? I run an estate in Fryerning, just off the A12 about 3 junctions away from Hanningfield Reservoir (4 if you come up on the A1245). I can take probably as much as you want to get shot of.
  10. What irks me is that I no longer have the choice of the dealers I like to deal with unless I waste the time to go to their showrooms. Unfortunately, it's not the same as chain stores who have an outlet in every town. But the solution to my dilemma is easy; I will maintain the Stihl kit I have until it needs replacement and then that will end my association with them. Any consumables eg bars, chains, strimmer heads etc can be sourced from other manufacturers from now. Problem solved.
  11. Sorry Steve. The kind of arrogance shown by Stihl attempting to dictate choice really pees me off, as you may have guessed.
  12. I would have given the help in exchange for whatever I would have charged for the job in the first place. No point in turning down work.
  13. So you are saying that they will discriminate against high volume on-line retailers in favour of price-fixing with smaller retailers? Or in other words, a cartel? Interesting policy if that is so.
  14. If I were getting somebody in to do a job, I would get a few quotes which would most likely range in price and possibly quality of service. It would be up to me to decide who I wanted to buy that service from, and nobody else. If I wanted to buy that service from somebody who wasn't my nearest service provider, whose business is it but my own? In Stihl's world, they expect to dictate to me who I deal with by placing so many obstacles in the way of my choice that I have no option but to deal with a local option. Well, Stihl can stick it where the Sun doesn't shine.
  15. Time for a derail, I think. Are you and Mick going to be at Jonesie's this year? Spike and I are going to try and bust Geoff out of the old folks' home.
  16. Well, people will keep feeding them, mate.
  17. I wonder if an ISPN check would bring up anything familiar (John Thomas perhaps?).
  18. If that was the case, wouldn't all the manufacturers have issued their new procedures by now, given that the compliance date seems to be 03/06/2013? Unless, of course, Stihl have decided to hog-tie their dealers before they have to? Either way, not a good business move on Stihl's part and one which is obviously peeing a lot of people off.
  19. I think earplugs and a swear filter will be of most use to them.
  20. Don't feed them, Andy.
  21. You must have read my mind.
  22. Mazda B2500, unless you need something to tow more than 2.2 tonnes.
  23. You weren't there to do a hand-over maybe. Sorry to hear about your kit.
  24. I cook mine up with Ginger, Calvados and Honey then serve it up with thick double cream.
  25. I wondered how you got all those free Stellas at the show last year.
