  1. Come on, Tight Arse! Get a new bridge! On a more serious note, though. Would you be asking 'what we thought' if you weren't already doubtful?
  2. Congrtaulations - and long may that wee heart continue to beat. Dee
  3. On the same point of 'mark up' prices, I saw the 'Guide to Good Climbing Practice' being bid for and finally being bought for £32 plus postage! The same booklet can be bought new from the AA for a tenner!
  4. That's more of a difference than I would've guessed. Impressive.
  5. Just out of interest, Dean - how much of a difference (in time) do you reckon you'll get from these 'pushed' plants?
  6. Steve might get something sorted out, fingers cro ....... there we go again!
  7. I know what you mean. I've got it when reading a chart by headtorch on the deck of a sea kayak.
  8. You bought BOTH of them, right? - not just one of the pair?
  9. I agree. The question assumes the standard of the options is equal. Whilst the first option is limited in its scope and real-life scenario, the second can vary enormously in quality.
  10. I'd guess it's iroko. It looks like the gunwhale and deck panels of a canoe that I have.
  11. Maybe Mike just wants us to picture the scene in our imaginations - like on the radio.
  12. Gloves?! These modern wonders - eh?
  13. These creatures will not necessarily be what is right - only what is left. 100 years is too short a time in which to expect adaptive evolution to come up with a solution to a human-propelled change that over-takes the humans themselves.
  14. He He He He He He He He ...................He He
  15. If you could find the corresponding Ordinance Survey maps of the area, you could then date back to the hedge's appearance (or the boundary at least) on the earliest version. Limited I know - but another angle.
  16. It should probably read 'sex act WITH a horse'. A sex act ON a horse would be quite an achievement - although the too riders would have to be properly protected ... of course.....
  17. I think the problem with species being introduced into an established ecosystem is that we just don't know what the outcome will be. If it proves to be a mistake - it's too late. Even with the best of intentions and the most accurate scientific forecasts, we are still making a 'guess'. The cane toad's and european fox's introduction into Australia comes to mind.
  18. Thanks for getting back to me on that, Spud.

    I'll keep in touch.

    Dee

  19. Hi, sorry for the cold call, but I thought I'd find out if you sell 200t parts. I'm looking round for a muffler and thought I'd start by asking you.

    Thanks, Dee.

  20. Keeping it simple! Lovely photos.
  21. I remember the Dancer - it was out at the same time as the Mirage! The Dancer was a little shorter.
  22. If the club is linked to the SCA (or the like), they probably will be happy for you to try out their own boats so that you can form your own opinion of the sport and which boat suits best (especially which seat pan suits best).
  23. I would advise against going on the sea alone - considering your current experience.
  24. Sorry Stevie. None for sale at the moment. I paddle on the west coast (of Ireland). We have fleet of about a dozen but the postage from me to you would destroy any 'bargain' that could come along when we're due to retire or upgrade any boats. What's caught your interest in sea kayaks?
  25. Yes, that's the type of thing I'm talking about. You can get a version with a rope lock on it too. It's at least food for thought as you may have different requirements.
