right guys , ive got this sycamore to do somthing with ! the customer doesnt really want to lose it and would rather it be reduced but i just keep looking at it and thinking what a ball ache thats gona be and for probably not a very pretty end result , i think id rather convince them to fell and replant but not sure there go for it , so what would you do ??? strip ivy and make the best you can ? fell & replant or leave it be

ive tumbled dry them quite a few times , apart from them being a little snug to begin with they,ve never change a bit ? id just do it

about a year ago i suffered a really bad stomach bug but went back to work pretty sharpish and spent a whole day climbing and dismantling skinny sycamore poles in the pouring rain .felt like id done a thousand chin ups that day .anyway got home and sat down and all of a sudden i had a pain in my chest which all of sudden went all over my body and didnt go away .... an hour later i was at the hospital where thay took blood and urine samples to find i had a creatine level of 1500 (normal being around 200 ) they docters were convinced i was taking steroids as it was such a high level ! after half an hour of explaing to them what my job entails and what id been doing that day they seem to believe me that i wasnt on roids ! to cut a long story short because id basically over done it after being sick id pulled about every muscle in my body which releases the chemical creatine kinase which is there to heal damaged muscle including the heart !.. although creatine isnt usually a problem because my body had produced such a large amount it causes too much protein which in turn is bad for your organs .. id say anybody doing our trade really shouldnt need to take the stuff !

i whole heartedly sympathise with you and glad to hear everything is ok . my daughter was 4 months old when i rushed her to hospital because she was unwell and straight away diagnosed with meningitis , il never forget the moment when the pediatric nurse told us that she had a heartbeat of 200 beats a minute and shes very very poorly the next thing i knew an ambulance was sent from london with a specialist team and off they went to the evalina childrens hospital at st thomas's she spent 5 days in intensive care and everything turned out for the good thank god . did they have to do a lumber puncture ? (needle inbetween the spinalcord ) ? i had to hold my little girl in a ball so tight that she couldnt move a millimetre while they did it ! worse moment of my life !

i really feel for you ,thats bang out of order ! the annoying thing is that i always read posts like yours advertising jobs and think what a fantasatic oppertuinty for someone . Im not a massivly over confident person when it comes to working for someone new but after a few days to settle in all is good !! it certainly makes me think i should go for jobs like this more often when i here about what idiots there are out there ! NAME AND SHAME ! then hopefully no one else will employ them ! they certainly dont deserve the oppertunity to take valuable places that are difficult to get !

il second that ! its a good forum :thumbup1:for anyone in the south east i picked up our local herald this week and a guy weighed in a cod of 12 lb from pevensey bay and held the record for that beach for about 20 mins until another bloke walked in weighing another cod in at 19 lb !!! cracking fish !... the biggest ive had from there is 11 lb and havnt had a chance to get out yet over the last month but il pretty tempted now

and im the one that bought it ! as shane said its a bit of a pain getting the rollers back in as youve gota hold the weight of them while trying to get the splines level so it might be an advantage to get someone to help you ! .although its not really a 2 person job at least your have someone to shout at and throw spanners at when it starts to annoy you !

this is gona sound like a really novice question ,and im normally quite mechanically able ,i havnt had the chipper that long and the in line filter that is on it doesnt look like a factory piece ? as im sure the guy i bought it from said he put it on for the exact reason that it stops crap ,but ive never notice another filter anywhere ? should it have one or not ? im confused now i was gona give it a service soon as he had done it prior to me buying it ,spose i should of had a good look before now really !lol ha
