  1. Doesn't seem long ago you could get a poverty spec double cab new for 14 k . Now most seem the wrong side of 24 k . I think because they are tax savers the manufacturers are cashing in.
  2. I am not a big fan of Mitsubishi . I have heard hilux not as good now but mine have been superb I will continue with Toyota until I have a problem.
  3. No but if you click on my signatures you should get pictures and info
  4. A bit of 1.5 cu metre dumpy a few Ibc and a 2 cu measured pick up body. If I was getting anywhere near 2cu per tonne I would still be doing logs.
  5. One tonne of green beech used to get me 1.4 cu metres of loose logs.
  6. We sell kindling and fuelwood sell tip tray baggers
  7. Thanks for the info. I think they stopped fitting the v6 in the vans about two years ago. 25mpg would be great but would expect less. They just have to prise my Amazon away from me know.
  8. I think your probably right. I would expect a normal sprinter to do 30 on a good day the 4x4 about 25 mpg. The 4x4 I think is still driving the prop round and it sits a bit higher. Off set that against its versatility it looks a great vehicle.
  9. I have had a couple of vito's and a vw lt 35 and all have been a joy to own. I am thinking of selling our 6 year old vito and old Amazon and rolling into one vehicle a 4x4 sprinter duo liner.
  10. I think your friends must be a Euro 6 engine. The latest merc engines are made by Iveco . The one I am looking at is euro 5 on a 15 plate. Rated to tow 3000 kg but not sure how well with 160 bhp and auto box
  11. The 7 % bio in diesel is held in check by solvents added to the fuel. After a few months the solvents evaporate and the veg oil starts to seperate any water in the tank just makes things 10 times worse. If any one is about to buy red leave it a week or two as they have different additive pack for winter.
  12. Anything I like she popped out in March not seen her since
  13. True they would have found a nice spot and laid a beach towel out
  14. I had a single cab hilux tipper but once the body is on I have dumped my car 80 kg carcase in we only had 400 kg for the load. If I had the time again I would put two dumpy bags on and roll them of so they land upside down.
  15. Need to change my amazon and not paying 15k for a 12 year old car. Anyone owned used or had one on demo. The mpg worries me they seem to get 15 to 20
  16. A normal sane person would ask you to quote. Not go on the attack for a price you have not even given yet. Go round there if he has chips on both shoulders walk away life is too short to waste time on Narks.
  17. Thanks for all the advice. I will check the volt drop but it does have an oversized cable from the dis board but we are out in the sticks and the supply to the property is not great. I think it could be a combination of 7 year old cap hot weather and new people using the machine. I am teaching them to jump straight on the emergency stop if it blocks. I have not dug into the motor circuits yet but it appears to have a start and a run capacitor.
  18. Anyone else had this. Is it a regular consumable part we should keep as a spare. Does it indicate the begining of the end for the motor and pump ? Any one found a good supplier it's fairly large at 70 uf
  19. We used a fire lighter snapped in half . Light walk away always come back to a healthy fire.

The way I look at vehicles is if someone has taken the time to design and build something it's always worth a closer look to see if it would suit my needs. As they say the proof is in the pudding.
  21. Good stocks of top quality bone dry kindling available all year.
  22. The ones I owned carried 700 kg legally.
  23. I have a new dmax on hire at the moment the Amazon has finally given up.
  24. Hi Chris We have someone supply us in 100x100x100 vented bags we get 45 bags of kindling and pay 50 p per net. It's just about worth them making it and just about worth us buying it.
