  9. If he is working under your direction, on your jobs he should be covered by your PL and EL insurance. It's been covered many, many time on this very forum.

  19. I was going to say the same, but if was going to go bankrupt, i'd go out in style £40k+ of loans, finance, payday loans, the lot! £5k can be paid off in 2/3 years easy.

Very true - if you're self employed, earning £75/day you need to keep aside £10/day just to cover the 28 days paid holiday a year Then another £15/day to cover ppe/tools/maintenence/fuel over the year. Then another £5-10/day to cover downtime. So now you're down to around £45/day before you know it! That's £1/hr less than min wage
