  1. Change your supplier
  2. I was thinking more from a liability view if you have surveyed them and they fall I understand that it would be the hotels insurance that would pay but I’m happy to be corrected
  3. Get them surveyed then do what the survey says
  4. If your going to spend money on a twenty year old chipper and intend to keep it buy new and go for a rebuild or why not sell for spares, if it’s not good enough to make money breaking is it really worth putting a flywheel on? You must of had your money out of it
  5. What’s the winch rated to the one sent to me was 1 tonne
  6. And it’s connected to the front of the machine with two open 12 MM lugs
  7. That’s what I thought bit disappointed when it turned up it was ok for a few logs up a bank but pulling trees over or recovering a stuck tractor I went back to the landrover
  8. The one I had on demo from avant had no blade to drop into the ground just a guard to catch broken ropes think this is a much better idea
  9. Remember the avant is designed to push not pull, winching with the winch attached to the head stock stresses the fixings and relies on the extension ram seals not giving up I’ve tried it never really felt safe much better to put the winch on the rear
  10. I have never been asked for my rolo card did three weeks tree planting at the American embassy with a fence erectors supervisor card and npors digger card so long as you have a card they don’t worry
  11. Dosnt the lack of information tell you something, spares backup etc
  12. Not letting the grass get too long is the trick , most mowers pick up in the wet few will pickup 2 weeks growth,
  13. Have you fertilised them yellowing could be lack of nitrogen try some liquid feed they should colour back quickly if it’s n2
  14. Do whatever comes into your head 5 mins if that after tea before lunch then record content date and those present, get everyone to lead the talks, content can be anything, we have done such as cleaning vehicles, storing saws, gloves, sharpening tools asking for help etc nothing to deep
  15. Bt can’t place a pole in your land to service another property with out your consent, if it also serves you they can but will require way leave, felling poles installed without permission is not good but digging it out and putting it to one side is ok
  16. Rope and a winch rip it out
  17. unessesary co2 production it doesn’t lock up carbon and seems to deplete the amount of 02 avaliable
  18. Been reading about bio char, not really the game changer people think and maybe very bad for the planet
  19. Look at tube clamps they are what you need. Also see tech screws you will need nut drive heavy to attach. The timber to the tubes remember to over clad the corners to protect ends what final finish are you going to use ply won’t last unless it’s marine and then it expensive
  20. Not quite true day rate for long periods is ok especially if multiple jobs and or sites are involved, I work anywhere south of Newcastle we get same rate for anywhere including travel it would be impossible to price these works.
  21. Mine are with aviva
  22. If you are going to do it go big can’t see a little blow gun moving ground in stones or mud
  23. 100 cfm road compressor with 3/4 galvanised pipe, stop end drilled with 6mm hole and valve at the other should do the job, doubt you will move much with a pcl fitted lance should remove the bark!
  24. Always planted with guard and stake, can now look back. at planting I did in the early eighties they are now trees quite satisfying
  25. That must have been when Lloyd George was prime minister
