  1. Split second later & he would have been in trouble there!
  2. Nice looking work,quality!
  3. He made a good choice, well done in influencing him.
  4. I wonder if there's a market for vintage ones...
  5. Just ignore him & get on with your business, most likely he will go away before long.
  6. Mine runs on aspen no problems at all, must have put 15 litres through it by now, you must have an adjustment on the carb out, my bet would be the 'l' screw, & idle screw.
  7. There is a charity show down there on the 30th of this month, kicks off at mid day if you are about. http://www.essexchapter.com/eventdocs/2013/BIKES_BARGES_2013.pdf Bikes and Barges - Maldon District Council
  8. Yep, I kind of cheated really, the sailing barges offered a great blend of colour to the bike!
  9. That's what I thought, not a gas axe. I wish you well with the insurance.
  10. Sounds like you know your tuning Chris, those old 250's are a bit all or nothing!
  11. Sorry for your loss here, what the hell have they used to cut that with?
  12. I like these, had one some years back & yours looks great!
  13. That looks a serious bike Wolfie!
  14. Painted some of the tin work on the chop, still more to do, including frame paint, no one likes the colour but me, I find it kind of funky. IMG_1579 by geoff321, on Flickr IMG_1583 by geoff321, on Flickr
  15. That's good news Chris, how you going to calm it down? I know on the old cr500 doubling up on the base gasket took the edge off it a bit when I used it for enduro, or racing on hard packed clay.
  16. +1, I would have wanted double that money at least.
  17. That's my opinion too, anything heavier would restrict the saw imo, the saw relies on a very narrow kerf, which in turn does give nice finish cuts. I keep a cheepo pair of glasses in my sharpening box, as at my age I'm long sighted, that & the file guide results in a nice sharp saw.
  18. I have had no problems sharpening mine, the chains don't last as long as a heavier chain, but a couple of brushes with the file & guide & the jobs a goodun.
  19. What a great picture, we should have a tree growing in a tree type of thread, maybe this could be the start of it?
  20. Sounds a fair offer, tell him to jump at it & in time he will have experience, that cant be bought & is very attractive to future employers.
  21. The grub, likely as Graham said, is just breaking down the dead wood, after death of the limbs/ tree from another cause.
  22. I had this same experience 10 years ago, your loss touched those feelings. R.i.p. Toby.
  23. Sorry to read that Billy, quite a loss.
  24. Good job that he got a substantial fine , he knew what he was up to by the sound of it.
  25. Bit tetchy this morning are we? As it stands, I was not having a crack at you, my post was polite, you got issues pal?
